Probes don't last long

So far, works pretty well and gets the temps pretty close, but the probes aren't very durable. Been through 2 probes that no longer work on a single season.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you are searing your steak be sure to remove your probes first. We do back our unit and probes with a generous two year warranty. Great tool for perfect grilling - but probes wonky

I’ve used my igrill 3 for the last two years - really enjoy grilling with it as it’s so easy to monitor internal temperature. I replaced the igrill battery earlier this summer and seemingly coincident with that my probes (both of them) are now giving false readings of extremely high internal temps (like 500 degrees) then low, then high again. Do I need new probes?
