It was an 5 when it worked… Only because it broke in the first two weeks I had it does it get a one star. Cricut was wonderful and is sending me a new one. That gives them a 5 star for customer services

Don't trust 'em

Have 3 (yes 3, am slow to give up trust) older cricut machines back to original one that came out. Company cut off support for older machines that use cartridges and even the Cricut app of the day. Leads me to believe that the company will pull the same stunt with the new app and current machines. Can't trust them as far as can throw them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

YOU NEED NEW MATERIALS FOR THIS

Rating 1 star for purposefully ambiguous marketing. YOU NEED THE NEW SMART MATERIALS TO CUT MATLESS. I drained my savings account thinking this machine would help my business by cutting my iron-on quicker without the mat, but I'm in the exact same position I was before I spent every penny I had. I already opened it too, so no return or refund for me. Don't waste your money buying this if you want to use the materials you already have.

The machine and software is easy to use and convenient but only when it works. The design space app has major flaws and even prevents you from being able to login. Without the app working it makes the machine useless and there are no real options to make the app work other than downloading and redownloading the software which does nothing. Buyer beware. This machine cost too much just for everything to depend on whether or not the app wants to work or not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the machine but would have been nice to have the supplies needed to use it when it arrived. Such as a cutting mat. I ordered the bundle but only the machine came

Smooth, Easy to Use, and Speedy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so impressed by how quickly the Explore 3 cut through the Smart Materials. The cuts were clean, and I was able to create projects quickly. The extended length materials made it so easy for me to create removable wall decals and give my guest bathroom a makeover.
