Great music streamer as a starting point

Using this through AirPlay the DAC is excellent I’m using a Denon 4810c receiver with B@W 804 speakers in a 22 x 18 acoustically traded room through airplay and sounds very good sound staging I suspect will be better you’re a hard wired connection versus Wi-Fi but resolution Bass midrange and tweeter details are excellent I suspect using an external DAC will yield better results so as a transport highly recommend it but using it as a streamer with the AC will yield good results there is no sub woofer in my system that B&w’s Excel in mid range detail and our $3000 speakers the node is forgiving with average recording music.B&W Speakers sound bright and can reveal deficiencies in badly recorded music The node DAC It’s not as ruthless and that’s a good thing so most people will be happy with the performance of this module for the audio file they may want to just use this as a transport and use a external DAC but given the price this is a very great sounding unit that most people will be happy with
