Christmas gift

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter and her family. they do not have it yet. I also purchased the same gift for my other daughter 2 years ago who had 2 kids, a dog and a cat. she loves it! She said it works really well at keeping down dust and pet dander.

Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 is great for bedroom

I bought this air filter because the smoke from nearby wildfires really bothered me. It's been very effective. I have it at the lowest setting and can hardly hear it. Once the "smoky" season is over (even the smoke from heating systems and fireplaces sometimes bothers me), I will change the filter to one that removes mold. This choice of filters is one reason I chose this model.

Nice attractive unit. Extremely sensitive particle sensor. Quiet even on speed 4. Does an excellent job on removing the dust. That's the main reason I bought it. I hate dust and I hate to dust everyday. I am very disappointed though in the ionizer. It doesn't make the air smell and feel crisp and fresh like after a thunderstorm. It's a shame because they use a two brush ionizer system...the best. They have the ionizer's factory setting set to basically zero. There is no difference with it on or off. I have to use my Eden Pure Generation-7 ion generator with a powerful large UV bulb for sanitizing, and four ionization settings. Eden Pure uses the same two brush ionizer system that the Alen Corporation does. It's just that Eden Pure gives the customer the choice of how much ionization power they want to use. None, a little or a lot. They use four settings. I will buy more units from the Alen corporation it they correct this problem with their ionizer and add a large UV bulb for sanitation and germ killing just like hospitals do. I found a unit that does everything that I want. And it works very well in all areas. But it is not as quiet as Alen's BreathSmart Fit50 or as attractive. I really hope that Alen Corp fixes this problem so I won't have to use to machines to do everything I want in a high end air purifier, or buy another ugly unit.

IT UNPLUGGED FROM THE WALL AND WHEN I PLUGGED IT BACK IN, IT NEVER TURNED ON AGAIN. CLEAR ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE UNIT! I WANT YM MONEY BACK OR A NEW PURIFIER!

Regrowing an immune system!

This is a replacement filter for the fit 50 my parents bought me when my fiancé was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. When she came home after her stem cell transplant it was important that my bed ridden fiancé be in as germ free environment as possible. I say all of this because while not required by our doctors the Fit 50 with silver filter gave my family and I great piece of mind that my fiancé was continuously being protected from illness as she worked to rebuild her immune system from scratch. A year later I get to tell you not only about my piece of mind over the last year but get to report that my fiancé is now CANCER FREE. I truly believe that your purifier protected the love my life from any airborne illness in her greatest time of need. THANK YOU!

We now have 3 Alen units and could not be more pleased. My wife is very ill and air quality is essential. The performance of the three units has been excellent. We can feel the difference.

3rd Alen BreatheSmart - 1st Fit50

After the success we have had with our other two BreatheSmart units, my wife insisted on another one for the master bedroom. We decided on the Fit50 this time around. As expected, it has been wonderful.
