[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These trimmers work great. I love the digital touch screen on the handle. The lock feature is a good feature, you don't have to worry about it accidentally turning on in your bag. The motorized comb is a plus, no more losing different guards to get the length you want.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great shaper but I find the memory a little confusing and non intuitive. The trimmer is of very good quality. My beard is new to me and I just need more practice.

It works pretty darn well. Still kinda give me the feeling that its a little too technological, I kinda like having a mechanical dial to make adjustments to trimmer length, and also believe that a mechanical dial would have a longer lifespan...but so far this trimmer is working quite well. Very smooth and strong motor and easy to clean.

I have to say I am disappointed. It is called a smart trimmer, however there is a major problem. I depend on the adjustable beard comb. This particular beard comb does not lock in place. The first time I tried using it I must have placed a little too much pressure and it sank to a shorter height. Fortunately it did not severely gouge my beard. I am now in the market for a new beard trimmer. Any recommendations? Also this trimmer does not work as paper weight. Any suggestions on what I can do with it?

Quite pleased with my new Remington beard trimmer

I waited decades to buy a new beard trimmer because my old one still worked. Finally I could no longer find replacement guards, so I looked in Consumer Reports for my research. This Remington model did well in their testing. And its digital settings require no guards, so that issues should never be a problem again.
I've used my new Remington twice so far and it's really nice -- lightweight and easy to recharge. It trims quite well. Clean up is easy, though it's truly odd to put the trimmer under running water. The results are great, too. It provides a more professional, finished look than my old beard trimmer did.
My one caveat is to check the displayed number periodically. I don't know what I did the second time, but it shifted from 6-something to 2-something in-between passes. I'm sure it was user error, but.... No harm done.
I did save the comb and scissors from my previous beard trimmer, just for old time's sake. They fit in the bag provided with the Remington just fine. Maybe someday I won't feel a need to resort to them, but until then, they are not displaced.
