Works great in cold temps!

My wife got me one of these as a Christmas gift. It definitely helps maintain temp in cold weather. Its been between 34 and 45 degrees out while smoking this morning. I have the Traeger set on 300 and it has stayed between 298 and 306 all morning. Our ribs are done in the normal time of 2-3 hours!

The Straps Melt

The insulation blanket worked great for the first month or so. But then the straps melted. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I bought this about 2 months ago. I haven’t used the grill but only 3-4 times and the straps have all melted. How do you make a grill blanket with straps that melt?

Straps are melting. This cover should be able to stand up to the heat of the BBQ.
This cover is meant to be used while the BBQ is on to keep heat in. It shouldn't melt when being used!

Great idea, bad application

I bought this several months back for my 22. Great idea, great direction, not so great application. After a few uses the straps melted and no longer stayed on the grill. With the development of all the fancy materials these days you would think they would find strap material that doesn’t melt thru. I ended up getting a small welding blanket and putting it over the grill to help with temperature. Sorry Traeger guys, absolutely love my Traeger but this is one accessory I could have saved a small pile of money on.

These blankets are designed to handle extensive use on the grill as long as the cooking temperature is under 350 degrees and the ambient temperature is below freezing. If the damage occurred while using it within these limitations, please reach out to Traeger support so that we can assess the situation and determine if something can be done.

Straps melted at 300

I have only had this blanket for a few months and the straps melted off the clips at 300 degrees. No good. Not worth the money.

Thank you for reviewing our insulation blanket, Ryan. The straps melting off our blankets is not a common occurrence. Appreciate you providing a picture. Our insulation blankets are only meant to be used in weather 32F or below outside. If used in warmer weather, it can cause damage like this, or even be a fire hazard. Unless it is freezing or below freezing outside, an insulation blanket should not be needed.
