Great laptop for a great price !!

I previously had a Chromebook which decided to breakdown the day before Black Friday, so I was lucky to order this newer version at a great price. The transfer between laptops was easy and I find this new version much faster. I like the fact that the speakers are on either side of the keyboard (so you get real stereo sound !) I like some of the changes that were made to the OS, other than one thing. I prefer Windows Outlook email to Google email. I can'nt seem to get notifications of new emails on Chromebook and I really liked that. With my Gmail account, I have to keep checking to see if there are any new emails. That's a hassle. I'd rather have a little icon to notify me of emails (and not just for emails in the Primary Inbox) The keyboard has a nice touch. All in all though, I do really like this Chromebook and recommend it to anyone !!

Great Chromebook

I bought this for my son for Grade 2 online schooling. I have personally set up my own account on it to give it a try and I'm happily surprised with performance and the ease of use of the ChromeOS. This isn't your top of the line Chromebook but that is expected for the price. The speakers are okay and the screen is alright. It does use a TN panel screen which in general can have washed out coolers from wide viewing angles but this one is quite nice when compared to cheaper TN panels. It feels like a solid machine and so far for any of mine or my son's online uses I haven't experienced any slow downs or hang ups, it runs his online learning games with ease. The battery life is absolutely superb getting probably about 16 hours out of a charge, it also charges very quickly. Trackpad and keyboard work nicely but I have purchased a seperate mouse and keyboard to reduce wear.

Lightweight but basic

This chrome book is good. It is lightweight and functional for basic use. However, the description is deceiving. It does not have two USD-A and two USB-C ports... it has only one usb-a which makes it difficult for frequent use. I cannot connect a Display. You have to get expensive adapters if you want to be able to connect more than one usb device i.e. mouse, usb etc.
For basic use, it's fine but I wanted to use it for work and cannot connect a monitor. help!
