Worked great for a bit

I bought this about six months ago. I loved it. Unfortunately, the part that plugs into the heating pad broke and it doesn't stay plugged in.

My new best friend!

I have endometriosis and frequent lower back stiffness and pain, and was getting so frustrated by having to get up and make my way to to the microwave every 10 minutes when my heating pads/magic bags inevitably cooled down again. I didn't think a heating pad could ever work this well - it is incredibly soft to the touch, the weight is perfect for staying in place and providing comfort, it heats up gently in about 20 seconds, and the cord is long enough to always reach a plug from where I need to be. I've only had this for almost 2 months, so I really really hope I don't encounter any difficulties other comments have mentioned with unpredictability or cord troubles, because for now it is PERFECT. genuinely considered buying a backup in case they stop making them or something happens to this one! trust me, this has greatly improved my quality of life, and is well worth the price already. I've already told my friends about it!

As she went, but I wish it was longer and narrower

Conforms very well. I really should get four stars, because it is an impractical size. It should be longer and narrower so that you can put it around the day or around the neck. I guess the size is fine for if you just want to hit the lower back. But longer narrower heating pads are more practical for more parts of the body. I speak as a licensed Physical Therapist PT.

It was great, until it stopped working

I loved this heating pad. It's like a warm hug with the added weight. It feels so luxurious.
One day, however, the light just started blinking and I couldn't get it to my usual low setting. Not sure if there's a short. I hate to throw it out because I just love it and hope that it'll start working again. But...

Only lasted a year and getting a refund was HORRIBLE! I will NEVER buy the Sunbeam/Newell product again!

Great! But....

I've bought 6 of these. This heating pad works so great for my endometriosis. The heat is hot. The weight is heavy, and it's the perfect size. I only have one complaint...the connector to the cord always breaks. Don't get me wrong, I wear this thing all night every night. I understand some wear and tear. But the only consistent thing that frustrates me is the cheap plastic connector arm that ALWAYS breaks. Pleeeease fix this

Cord Won’t Stay Plugged Into Pad…Frustrating!

I bought this a few months ago to have in my arsenal for sinus and ear pain. From day one, the cord will not stay plugged into the pad. If you barely move it or touch the cord, it pops out and then the extremely bright lights start flashing. I’ve tried taping it, but it’s a very temporary solution. I love the weighted feel and the soft plush fabric. It’s perfect when the cord is in, but it’s short lived enjoyment. I’m sad to have this result because I’ve preferred Sunbeam products for years, even for my pets.

It sounds like the cord on your Sunbeam ConformHeat™ Heating Pad isn't staying plugged into the pad properly, which can be frustrating. Here are a few possible reasons and solutions for this issue:

The plug or socket might be worn or damaged, causing the connection to become loose. Over time, wear and tear on the heating pad or cord can cause this to happen. Inspect both the plug and the socket on the heating pad for any visible damage.

Sometimes dirt, lint, or other debris can get stuck in the connection point, preventing the plug from staying in securely.
Gently clean the connector and the port on the heating pad using a soft cloth. Be sure not to get moisture inside the connection.

Ensure that the plug is being inserted properly. Sometimes if the plug is inserted at an angle, it might not seat correctly. Try inserting the plug gently but firmly, ensuring it clicks or locks into place.

Inconsistent heat

On the first day of use the lowest setting was comfortable but the pad cooled/stopped working after several minutes. I turned it off, checked that the cords were in place, turned it back on and still nothing on the lowest setting. Then I turned it up to the medium setting and the pad got too hot. The size, shape and weight of this heating pad were all perfect for me but if the heating doesn't work...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
