I have been looking for a heating pad like this. I'm so glad it was available through sunbeam. I also purchased one for a client of mine. However she is not able to use it because she is on continuos Oxyegen. The directions say that this heating pad should not be used in a Oxyegen atmosphere.
I also purchased one for my Mother. She is also unable to use this heating pad because she has a pacemaker and this heating pad has a magnet in the yolk area in the front.
I will have to remove the magnet and replace it with Velcro before my Mom will be able to use the product. So be aware if you use this or any other heating pad.
This is the second wrap I have purchased. The first was on a shopping network but we're no longer available. My 93 year old mother lives with us and she has bad arthritis in a shoulder and Osteoporosis. Heat seems to give her the most relief. She is a short woman so this is perfect for her as it drapes over her shoulders and also goes down her back. When she lays down for a nap and does not want it over her shoulders, I can lay it flat on the bed for her. This is so much easier then trying to use the old, oblong heating pad or warming up a rice pack in the microwave half a dozen times a day. My first purchase was in the burgundy color, which I would have ordered again but it was not available. This blue one doess have somewhat of an odor I hope will go away.

I saw this in a catalog and thought how smart to wrap around shoulders/neck/back. It stays in place and puts the heat where it needs to be..thanks Sunbeam for such a good design..

A great concept but needs some work

I bought this heating pad a week ago to alleviate some neck and back pain from a whiplash type injury. I loved it at first. The features I appreciate: the soft material, magnets to hold the pad in place, machine washable, moist or dry heat options, variable temperature settings, and coverage of neck, shoulders and back. However, after several uses, the heating elements seem sporadic throughout the pad. For example, the neck heats up nicely, but the shoulders don’t even feel warm. This product is a great idea, but needs work on the reliability and consistency of the heat. When that is fine tuned, this heating pad will be amazing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Heat quality

I bought this a year and a half ago,when it stopped heating. The light indicates that it is turned on and all connections are in place. Before that, it worked great and eased my pain.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a replacement for my Temperform 970

Bought this to replace Sunbeam Temperform 970 which has been discontinued. Nothing like that one. It's lightweight has a protruding border and the settings are either too hot or not hot enough. Had metal splinter like filaments poking out from several areas. This is going back.
