Would not recommend

First of all, i would not recommend willow pump at all because it is pretty inconvenient in terms of parts you need to assemble, and weirdly complicated and wasteful process of flip/finish. But these containers are worse than the pump itself. These containers have too many parts and dials to keep track of which make them not user friendly at all, not to mention the separate pieces of parts you need to clean. If I could return the pump I would. I would skip this container and stick with the plastic bags.

Really want to love but somewhat disappointed

I LOVE the concept of the containers so I don’t feel like I’m wasting bags, when I can just pour the milk straight into a bottle but there are some issues with the design that I think can be improved. This is my second set of containers that I have bought, thinking there was user error with the first but indeed it seems like this may just be the way the product is made. 1. My first set molded on the inside, the area that you pop out that has the teal circles after about a month which is gross and concerning. They are thoroughly rinsed and washed with hot water and dish soap and air dried after each use and sanitized once or twice a week (by boiling as suggested). Note this hasn’t happened with my second set but I’ve only had them a week, so I’m keeping an eye out.2. You have to be EXTREMELY careful (almost too careful) with the air seal, when you turn it from 1 to 2 and back, or the container will leak during the flip to finish part, which also happened with my first set and took me forever to figure out why it was happening and where the leak was coming from. After a week of using the second set of containers this happened AGAIN, even after being particularly careful with the switch. It’s frustrating to lose ounces of milk... so now I’ve just been holding the containers over a bowl when I flip to finish “just in case” so I don’t lose precious milk. It seems like willow should look into making this particular piece a bit hardier for users.

Better than the bags

I prefer these to the bags. Very easy assembly and emptying procedure. 4 stars because they leak if you don’t remember to move the 1 and 2 pre and post pump.

Horrid splashing

I wish there was an easier solution to getting milk out of the containers, it splashes horribly and it’s getting frustrating. I thought this was going to make my life easier by being able to pump and not be attached to the wall, but they don’t get the milk all the way into the container and they just splash out even if the vent is open, it’s a lose lose situation.

They leaked everywhere, too many things to have to check with the 1-2, the top seal. This pump overall has been a total headache.

Finicky, Frequent Error Codes

I prefer to use these over the more expensive single-use bags; however, when I use these, the pump throws error codes almost daily and I end up troubleshooting for 10-20 minutes of my precious 45min work break time. It's usually the "flush the valve with water and try again" code, and it is resolved, but requires so much time to make trips back and forth from the work sink, it's almost not worth using the container. I wish it would work right away, as intended. When I get it to work, I get good output.
