Struggle to get it connected

I love this pump, when it works. The problem is that it never works right off the bat. It gives me the yellow blinking dot every time I go to connect it. I have to work at least 5 minutes on each side getting them to finally connect. No clue what magically makes it decide to start working. If I have a let down during that time then it’s just a huge loss of milk. I’ve been so frustrated sometimes that I end up just using my Madella pump. If this product worked every time I put it to my boob then I would give it a 5/5, but sadly it’s getting to just not be worth the hassle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tedious to clean

Tedious to clean the valves, very delicate when machine reads debris in valves, wash throughly and still misreads wrong errors, this is why I had to buy a second time. Too expensive in my personal experience.

I was so excited for this pump… but was disappointed

I was literally so excited for this pump! I researched and thought I was getting something great… but it was not the best. I have tried and tried to pump.. I never get more than 2 oz and always have to follow up with my Ameda pump afterwards. I have been fitted for flanges as well and have the correct size. For the price, I do not recommend. Spend your money on a good pump such as a Ameda Joy (battery powered & small with a clip to attach to pants!) and add some hands free pumps!

Milk containers

I really prefer the milk containers over the plastic bag collection for milk. It’s less hassle, especially if you plan to use the milk in the near future, vs store it for a long time. The downsides to it are that there’s a bit more to clean (not a huge deal), and if you don’t flip the little switch at the top before you do the flip to finish maneuver, you will spill milk. It happened to me where the switch got bumped or something and I had a lap full of milk, so watch out for that!

AMAZING!

I LOVE using the Willow milk containers. It saves me money on bags and they work really well. They even continue to fill after the pump is done and can sometimes hold 5oz or more per side! My only complaint is that the valve at the top can get stuck and is really difficult to clean. When that happens the pumps don't work well until the issue is alleviated.
The bags are wonderful for being on the go, They don't leak and are easy to transport. It was a struggle learning how to get my pump to suction and put the pump on the flange without pinching the bag. After much trial and error though, it is so wonderful and easy to use. I would have LOVED a video from you guys on tips and tricks for getting a seal and solving problems for learning mammas.
I do also feel like the bags have a strong plastic smell that transfers to the milk, because of this I only use them if i'm on the go and need them.

I am a full time firefighter/ paramedic working 48 hour shifts and I returned to work when my baby was 10 weeks old. I cannot say how grateful I am for this pump. I would not be able to do my job and breastfeed my baby without it. I have even pumped while on EMS calls before with this pump! It is so versatile and I can take it with me on long transports so I don't risk my milk supply by going long periods without pumping. I must always be prepared to leave at a moments notice and with this pump I can do so without the stress of having to pump traditionally. Without a doubt, Willow saved my breastfeeding journey. I have/will recommend this product to every pumping mama I know.

Takes a minute to get used to but LOVE IT

There is some learning to go into it and expect to spill a little milk the first time you use the containers but once you get the hang of it they are SO easy and convenient! LOVE

Nice idea, but not sustainable.

I love these because you can easily combine milk just pumped into one bag. (I like to do this so that I only have to thaw one bag if I want to make a bottle!) However, within 4 months of using them pretty regularly, I had to order more because the pump thought it was taking in milk when it was really taking in air. There was a leak somewhere in the container. I take pretty good care of them, so I didn’t expect them to wear out so fast. I love the idea, but I wish they lasted longer!
