Freedom!

My sweet baby and I had a really hard time initially with breastfeeding. He had problems latching due to some medical difficulties and was never able to breastfeed probably. I didn’t want to give up on providing him breast milk, though, so decided to give exclusive pumping a try.
I spent the first month pumping with the hospital grade pump we rented from the hospital. But I hated it. I felt always tied to the pump and felt like I was able to spend less time getting things done or taking care of my newborn. Then a friend recommended the willow pump and she said she loved it. I went back and forth due to the cost and finally decided to give it a try.
This has been the best investment I made for myself during my pregnancy/postpartum. I feel like I gained so much of my freedom back. I also spent a week in the hospital with my newborn unexpectedly a week after I purchased the pump and felt so fortunate to have it to use. I can’t imagine having to try to pump with a traditional pump and care for my newborn in the hospital at the same time.
I would recommend it 100 percent. I would say that the amount of breastmilk I pump per session with the Willow and the hospital pump have been essentially the same.
I have used both the containers and the bags. The bags are by far more convenient. However, the container is fine in a pinch as long as you follow instructions.
My only annoyance with this product is that Willow is constantly out of stock with their bags (literally everywhere). So I get anxiety as to whether or not I will get to reorder on time. If they could fix their supply problem that would be awesome.
But do yourself a favor and give yourself freedom back!

Convenient but expensive

Having three kids this pump has definitely made my life easier and breastfeeding possible. My only issue is having to purchase additional flange sizes. I wasn’t given the option to purchase any other flange size than 24 and I needed the next size down. The pump is already so expensive and purchasing all the different accessories makes for a very expensive purchase.

Not a great pump

I wish I could hype this pump up, but it’s really not a great pump.
The oz levels are off when you pump. During one of my sessions, it said I had 0.5 oz, and after 20 minutes, when I removed the pump, it was completely empty.
The containers are a pain to dry. The flange sensor is finicky. I will be buying the spectra or medela this week. Regret buying this :/
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was hoping for the best

I bought this pump for the convenience. I noticed my supply going low. I've had to reset my pump several times. Bags are out of stock, so I had to buy the reusable containers and they are HORRIBLE. They always leak, the orange light is always on. Milk gets stuck in the flange so I constantly have to detach, flip and reattach. For now to keep my supply up I will have to use my Medela.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Game changer

This pump is a game changer. Amazing to sit through meetings on camera while pumping. It’s much different than my first time breastfeeding. You can only collect 4oz but it notifies you when it’s full. Love that you can track all your pumping sessions. Sometimes milk gets trapped after the flip & finish. I don’t want to waste a drop so I need to work on that. It’s the only negative thing I can say. Amazing pump!

Absolutely love it I ran out of bags so I need to buy the containers. Absolutely worth the money I recommend to any mom changed everything about breastfeeding moms do second guess just dive in and buy it you will not regret it.

I'm in love with this pump! It gives me so much freedom to be able to pump around the house and at work. My coworkers cannot tell I'm pumping during meetings either! The bags make it super convenient for me. Just flip to finish and get on with my day.

Slightly bulky, but nothing horrible (I am a 38C…with the pumps I now look like Dolly Parton !) only thing I wish I could improve is a visual to ensure the nipple is center AFTER the motor is on, and ability to adjust the ounces on the app.
