Amazing pump when working correctly

This pump works great when working correctly but I have had to call more times than I can count to get troubleshooting help, replacement parts and at one poin my I had to get a new pump. I haven’t even been using the pump 3 months yet. Like I said this pump is great when it’s working properly just tired of having to keep calling to fix it and then I’m out of a pump for a week. Customer service is excellent and always help/fix the problem. This pump works amazing but I have had a lot of issues with the containers and pump itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Life Saver

Bottom line: I 100% would buy this pump again.
Backstory: When I bought this pump I was nursing only, but was having trouble building any sort of stash because I hated the wires and tubes of my medela pump. I wanted a stash just so I could get away for a few hours every once in a while. A little over a month ago my baby started having some unexplained feeding issues and was refusing the breast more and more and to ensure he was getting enough I would bottle feed him. He then eventually went on a complete nursing strike and I’ve been pumping for his feeds (though I still have hope to nurse again in future). Also, I am plus size- size 20 with bra size 38I.
Details: I’ve been taking notes on what I like and don’t like about this pump because I could not decide for the longest time if it would be worth the price tag.
Pros: Cleaning is so fast and easy- only 2 parts to clean on each side!!! (This is was a big factor in me choosing willow over elvie). (I do need the inserts so an extra part per pump. I do wish willow would make more flange sizes!). So easy to use. I was nervous because some users said they had difficulties with it. I rarely have an issue and if I do it’s something like I didn’t actually insert the bag or something.
Cons: I do find this pump takes longer to get the same amount as my medela. I don’t consider this a strong con because they automatically run for 25 minutes (which is plenty of time) and I usually forget about them even being on by then. To get the true freedom on movement you have to buy the bags and they are expensive! I love the bags for building a stash because they auto seal and just chuck them in the freezer instead of having to pour into a bag. Now that I’m pumping for feeding I feel really wasteful and am considering buying the containers to reduce waste, but they are an additional cost themselves so not sure yet. Also, this is not silent. I can definitely hear it. If you’re somewhere with background noise it’s doubtful someone would notice though. It honestly doesn’t bother me, but for those who it would I wanted to mention.

I do wish that I could go back into stimulation mode without having to break the seal and start again. Thats hard to do on the go while keeping nipple in center. I also wish the suction increase and decrease as well as start and stop could be done from the app. A lot of time I’m at home so it’s not a problem to reach in my bra and press buttons but it is mighty weird in public. Also the start buttons glow when finished and that can be seen through my shirts. Not a huge deal, but not quite discreet.
Also I know it says this somewhere in the pamphlet but do give it at least 10 tries before making a judgement. It takes them a few goes to get used to your body and your body to get used to them. After the first 10 uses I’ve had no problems with the app.
Overall, the ease of use and cleaning of this has saved my breastfeeding journey. I do think I would have chosen formula by now (which would be completely fine!) if not for this pump. I’m simply not ready to move to formula yet and this pump makes giving my baby breastmilk possible.

Love it so far!

I was worried about using the pump after reading mixed reviews. I ordered it at 8 months pregnant and opened it right away because I was so excited. And then I started reading the reviews and thought I made the worst mistake because now I couldn’t return it. But since being home, (3 weeks) I have absolutely loved it and regret not getting it while nursing my older children.

Best hands free pump

Love my willow! I got it right before having our baby. Comes with a normal paper manual and videos to watch so you understand how to use it. Lot of people say it’s complicated but it’s really not! I got the additional reusable containers and an extra changer so I can charge the second pump at the same time. It’s great for getting up and handling things around the house out about your day. The bags are truly leak proof! I laid down and it didn’t come out. When working, they pump is quiet not silent. People can barely tell I’m pumping around them! Highly recommend!

Game changer

I love this pump! It is an absolute game changer for me. When I’m home alone with a toddler and a infant, I’m able to do everything I need to without being tethered to a wall. There is a learning curve to the pump, but willow gives you all the information you need to be successful while on your pumping journey. So thankful I made the decision to buy this!

Saved my breastfeeding journey

This pump is amazing it increased my supply and has saved me time! I get 12oz in the morning in just 25mins vs 3-4oz in about an hour with my old pump! I recommend this pump to everyone not only working moms this a great pump to do chores around the house worth every penny! Thank you willow for saving my journey!!

Learning Curve is Worth It

The Willow took a minute to learn how to use properly (ie. Not spill milk when I was taking it off), but once I figured out the “flip-to-finish” the Willow is amazing! The willow is fairly comfortable for a pump. I also feel that it has helped increase or at least maintain my milk production while at work. It is also really good at pulling any small blockages from my milk ducts to keep me producing.

Easy to clean and pump at work

I was hesitant at first about the Willow because I noted there was a learning curve, and I was attempting to save milk for daycare. It took about 7 sessions for my body to adjust to the constant suction (I had the Lansinoh pump before), and after I produced as much milk and sometimes more than my previous pump each session. I love that it’s hands free, so I can clean bottles, make dinner, etc. It’s not silent by any means, but it’s also not overly distracting if you are in close proximity to others. The parts are easy to clean, and the battery holds charge for 3-4 sessions while I’m at work. I’d recommend the container flange while you’re at home and the pumping bags when you’re on the go. This was really a game changer for me, and it kept me motivated to keep pumping versus switch over to formula full time.
