Hands Free!
on December 5, 2021

I am pumping exclusively as my baby has a shallow latch and we were both getting too frustrated with breast feeding. If it were not for the pump I would have given up completely. I find that with the size of my breasts I have limited mobility while pumping. I cannot bend down or move quickly but this could be due to my bra. I had an issue with one of my pumps - it kept having errors and the company warrantied a new one for me. I had a Medela pump (on loan from the hospital) prior to getting mine. I disliked having tubs and such. I will say that the suction is similar to both pumps. I did purchase the reusable containers as I cannot get bags delivered quick enough to keep up with pumping. The only complaint is that the volume on the app is not always the same as what is in the bag. This could be due to user error or that I am only a month postpartum. Regardless I really like this pump and would recommend them.

Pumping Mama On The Go!

I absolutely love my Willow! I use both the bags and containers, and do so often while traveling! I took my containers on airplane, and pumping went so smoothly on my 4 hour flight! Also, getting through TSA went well with the pumps as well!

Great pump

This pump is really convenient, easy to use, and it helped increase my supply because of the continuous suction. I had a breast reduction in the past and I was worried about supply. I now pump 40oz/day. I highly recommend.

Great pump huge learning curve
on December 8, 2021

Not going to lie I was ready to throw this thing in the garbage the first couple times I used it. Now it’s my go to pump. I pretty much solely use the containers which I wish were a bit less expensive and it works great. Again containers are a learning curve and i do get errors here or there but they are quickly rectified. Trial and error is key. But so far love it hoping to not have any issues as it works so well.

I’m obsessed!

I love my willow. It makes life so much simpler. I can pump while doing chores or while I’m driving. It makes it so easy to pump one boob while I feed from the other. It’s super nice to also have the app and be able to keep track of how much milk I’m getting from each pumping session. I love that the app is pretty accurate. The willow definitely has its own learning curve and it takes some getting used to. It’s like starting your breastfeeding journey all over again, but once you get through the learning curve it’s so amazing and you feel so accomplished! The willow is pretty pricey so it’s discouraging at first but if you keep to it, it’s definitely worth it. A huge part of having a willow is making sure to stay on top of the up keep which can also be costly, but again still worth it. It’s important to have the right inserts and fit so that you get the most output and least amount of pain. The willow is a commitment, if your willing to accept the commitment it will definitely be a rewarding journey.

Most Comfortable Pump I've Tried
on December 10, 2021

I've tried 4 different pumps, different brands and this is by far the best I've used! I get more milk in less time and I LOVE that I can recline back while I pump instead of hunched over. For comparison: I used to pump for 15-25 minutes with a Medela (tried 2 different models) and barely get 4 oz. With Willow I pump a max of 10 minutes, usually only 6, and get 4 - 5 0z. It's also a lot more comfortable than any others. I don't have to have the suction cranked up and I still get a ton of hind milk. It's SO nice to only have to take a 10-15 minute break for pumping at work!!
I started with the Willow milk bags and they're great but I wanted to save money and got the reusable containers. I like the reusable containers more than the bags because I can pause and fill the containers more if I need to (can't do that with the bags. Once you're done you're done). Also, I can make 1 pumping session fill 1 traditional breastmilk bag for 1 bottle instead of 2 Willow bags for 1 bottle.
The pump and container each have a learning curve so do what the instructions say and take 30 minutes to figure it out before you NEED it. Then use it a few times while at home to get used to it. I didn't do this at first and it made things so much harder.

Convenient, but not what expected
on December 12, 2021

Pros- very convenient to not be tied to a wall
Cons- for 500+ I would expect the system to be much easier to use. There is a huge learning curve and lots of extra purchases. Inserts, reusable containers, replacement parts, etc. Containers don’t always align properly and the dial to turn and cover the opening frequently does not cover properly, resulting in flip to finish issues. The fact that bags fill with air if not aligned just perfectly or if the flange isn’t the exact correct size is also frustrating. It’s a lot of money to spend on a system that can be extremely frustrating with lots of potential errors. Also, the additional parts wear out very quickly, which makes them seem like they are low quality. Overall, a LOT of room for improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
