A must have

I am exclusively pumping for my twins. My husband went back to work and I was just plugging into the pump and praying no one needed me for 20 minutes 8 times a day. The willow has made it so I can pump and take care of my girls. I’m not sure how far our breastfeeding journey would have gotten without it!

Unique convenience but countless issues with an unreliable product

Without a doubt the Willow pump offers the unique convenience of being untethered by awkward cords and tubes. Where this convenience stops, however, the frustration and headaches with this product begins. And even with their unique convenience, as these pumps can be glitchy, unpredictable, and unreliable, you will still need a backup traditional cord-and-tube pump.
I initially pumped with the first generation Willows while nursing my first child in 2018. The experience then, particularly when compared with my older traditional pump, was a dream. In contrast, using the third generation pumps for the past 9 months has been a constant nightmare. The third generation pumps are slow to pair with the app, give constant error messages indicating assembly issues with the accessories (even when accessories are assembled correctly), and need to be manually reset frequently. Though the newer generation pumps boast the added convenience of pairing with the reusable containers--a seemingly eco friendlier and cost saving alternative to the plastic bags--the containers are essentially rendered useless after a few pumping, washing, and sanitizing sessions when the valves become dysfunctional. I have needed to use my backup traditional cord-and-tube pump numerous times when the Willows have failed.
Fortunately, Willow customer service is quite easy to reach and the agents are friendly. I have needed to reach out to the team numerous times to help solve these issues; they have always attempted to solve the problem--they've replaced seemingly faulty accessories and sent an entire set of replacement pumps. Even when using such replacement items and following all recommended troubleshooting tasks, however, the glitchy nature of the pumps has not remitted, and I continue to have the same problems over and over again. Many other reviews mention similar issues. I would sincerely question the timing of the positive reviews for this product--should I have reviewed the first generation pumps, my review would have been positive; should I have reviewed the third generation pumps during my first few weeks of use, my review would have been positive. However, after constant struggles with this product over months of use, my experience with the Willow pumps becomes increasingly negative.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Spill proof and hands free!

This pump saved my pumping/nursing journey! For my line of employment hands free was a must! There's a little bit of a learning curve but once you get a proper fitting and get comfortable with alignment it's absolutely amazing!

Pumping on the go!

I am a mom of 8 kiddos, so I needed something that could work with my busy lifestyle. I work part time and breastfeed and pump for my new baby. Willow allows me to pump milk for my daughter wherever I am at and makes sure she continues to get breast milk even if I am not with her. I bought the containers that fit inside the pump and save the milk for future feedings. This pump is truly a game saver for moms in every situation I highly recommend this pump and happy I found it.

Pumping at any time

I wanted to share an experience I had with my willow pump recently. I am a certified nurse midwife and was on call in the hospital yesterday. I just sat down to pump with my traditional pump and got a call from triage that I had a patient who was completely dilated. Of course I got right up, unhooked from my pump, and ran to triage. My patient desired natural childbirth, so I wanted to stay by her side throughout labor to help her cope. My son is 3 months old, so frequent breastfeeding/pumping is necessary to maintain my supply. I asked a fellow midwife to grab my pump bag and left the room only for a minute to place my willow pump underneath my scrubs. I successfully pumped while helping a first time mom bring her sweet baby girl into the world unmedicated. Before having my willow pump I would have either had to go without pumping and risking clogged ducts, mastitis, and a decrease in supply, or ask another provider to help with delivery (which I would have hated since there is no greater honor than helping a momma bring her baby into the world). This pump has given me such a sense of freedom, and let’s me take control of my breastfeeding journey!

I can’t believe how long I was using a traditional pump

Willow has literally changed my life. I know it may sound dramatic but the amount of things I can do freely now while pumping is practically limitless. Thanks to Willow I have my life back and don’t have to be plugged into the wall for hours a day!

I LOVE this pump. If you use it properly you won’t have an issue. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY. I feel so free and get more pumping sessions in throughout the day. I’m not slave to an outlet or have to sit. I got to walk with my baby in a stroller while getting a pumping session in. I’m sooooo happy!!!

This pump is a game changer! I’m able to care for my kids while pumping and when I’m at work I can pump while caring for my patients. This company also sent me a new pump when mine had a crack. So thankful to have this pump.
