Worth the money!

I got this pump because I had a newborn and a 3 year old and it saved my breastfeeding journey! When I received the pump after about a week the right one went out but willow sent me a new one! For free! Because the pump is covered for a whole year after purchase. My supply has went up not only from supplements but from using this pump as it empties the breast much better then most pumps! 10/10 would recommend !

Empties fast & user friendly!

I used the Elvie after my last pregnancy because they had the containers and was gentler suction, but for this pregnancy I got the gen 3 Willow now that containers have been introduced and the suction has gentler options! It's so much less finicky than the Elvie- I found myself wanting to curse at that other pump a lot! The suction feels more like my baby and doesn't hurt. I use the 19mm MayMom inserts and they work like a charm to empty me fully. I'd say it takes this pump maybe 10 minutes to empty me. On the rare occasion that I fill up a container, it's so easy to pour out, out back in, and keep pumping. The app is wonderful and SUPER accurate on volume. I haven't had it make a mistake yet. I exclusively use the containers and have had NO leaking. I love these things!

Life changing!

The willow pump has truly been life changing for me and my family! As I prepared to return to work I tried so hard to sit and pump with my medela to help build a stash but there’s literally no time for that. And I knew once I went back to work in my busy Neonatal ICU, there would be no time to pump either. I was scared of losing my milk supply and terrified of my breastfeeding journey coming to an end because of this so I broke down and got the willow. The week I went back to work my shifts were so incredibly busy I hardly sat down at all the whole 13 hrs! But putting my willows on takes like 5 minutes and then I’m back on the floor, because of this I’m able to pump and keep up my supply!! You have know idea what that means to me and my little one!
I was a little hesitant at first, because so many people post about their troubles with the pumps, bags and containers. I was terrified to spend all that money and then they wouldn’t work but so far everything has been great! lol the sizing is very tricky, I highly recommend calling the willow customer service and getting assistance with measuring and trying to find the right flange size for you before ordering everything in the wrong size (lesson learned). That seems to be the trickiest part people struggle with but once you figure that out it all goes much more smoothly.
One downside for me is that I am unable to hold my daughter or pick her up while pumping. I’m large chested to begin with, and the willows stick extremely far off my chest. Even though I do my best to support them, it’s impossible to secure them enough when holding or picking up my 3 month old. She always seems to knock them loose and I’ll lose the good seal I had. But other than that I’ve been extremely happy with my willow pumping journey and am forever grateful that it has allowed me to successfully continue my breastfeeding journey

Life-Changing Pump! Awesome!
on March 23, 2021

I was so skeptical about buying these pumps but I loved the concept! I am a mom who gave up breastfeeding at 4 months with my 1st child because I hated my medela due to it not being portable and if it was, I had to be shirtless. This was not convenient, especially at work. Moms are being frowned upon to take PUMP BREAKS. What is wrong with this society! I did not want to spend this much money on this pump so I decided to buy them off of some other mama for cheap (Bought new flanges and flextubes of course) who was done with their breastfeeding journey. When I tell you that I was so excited to try them out and I was not disappointed. I had my second child and I was so sick of my medela. They are awesome pumps don't get me wrong but they just suck because you are not mobile. With my first child being a toddler and having my newborn.. my house is so chaotic! So you can only imagine how much I need to run around. With my medela, it was impossible and I felt helpless because I had tend to my needy toddler. These Willows saved my life and sanity. I am so happy at how well they worked! No leaking with the bags! This was the reason I went to them! I hate leaking and not being able to move as I please! I live my life as close to normal as possible. I usually only use one hub for both breasts! The other is basically a backup! There are a few tweaks but they aren't a dealbreaker to me because they serve their purpose.
1) They are bulky.
2) They are very noticeable under your shirt. Other mamas aren't lying when they say you look like Dolly Parton lol. I honestly don't care, they can stare all they want! I'm pumping to feed my baby.
3) Sometimes you can get too much air in your bag.
4) All the milk doesn't go in the bag. Some stays behind in the flextube but honestly after the flip to finish method is done I just press the play button again (when it's supposed to latch again) with the pump upside down with the flange facing you and pause it when all the milk is in and TADA.
5) You can't really take all of the milk out of the bags. I just flip it upside down and cut it while the milk drains into another bag or cup. It could get messy if you don't know how to.
6) It took my body a week to respond to this pump. (Everyone is different)
7) You can't hold your baby normally with both hubs on. With one, you can hold him/her on the other side that doesn't have the pump.
8) Cracks on the magnets are easily done. They don't affect the pump but it's annoying.
9) You can't increase your suction if you haven't expressed at least .5 oz. This was frustrating when my body was getting use to the pump. Not a problem anymore.
Over time I just got used to them and they are something that I cannot live without. My life stuck to the wall is over with these. Customer service is great even though I bought it off another mom. They still try to help you out! Love them.

Very convenient!

I work in surgery and also have 2 babies under 2, so it’s when in either at work or home pumping time is limited when attached to a cord. However i just put these on and let them run until the auto-stop, (25min) which also helps boost my supply. There IS A LEARNING CURVE. It’s not too difficult but its little things to remember but overall i would definitely recommend this. The only negative thing i have to say is there isn’t 2 charging cords which is kinda inconvenient also the price is extremely hard to get over.

I love how convenient the pump is but it has too. Many tech issues. It kept getting detached while pumping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very impressed health care worker

I am a full medical assistant at a doctors office. I gave birth to my little girl February 2021. Shortly after, I bought Willow and their competitor, to test the difference. Willow has a better suction, you can use bags that are convenient (I personally use the reusable containers), and automatically stops at 25 minutes, so you don’t waste the batteries. I get easily 7-10 30 minute sessions before having to charge them. It also helps that I can lay down or do the laundry while pumping.
With their competitor, the suction is “so-so,” harder to clean, app lags, battery only lasts for 2 30 minute sessions, can’t bend over at all (otherwise it will leak), and you could be pumping for an hour and not even know!
Definitely recommend this product!! 5/5! Worth every single penny!!!

Best pump on the market!!

This pump is a must have for any breastfeeding mother!! I was skeptical for the price but I used it and fell in love. It's a bit of a learning curve since it's different than a regular pump, but once you get the hang of it you will love it. I had a much better output with willow than I ever did on my Medela. Willow was even better than the hospital grade pump! The freedom to still be a mom and go to the bathroom without being tied down by so many cords is a bonus!!
