Game changer

This pump is a game changer for a busy working mom of two under 2!! I pump more because of the convenience of being able to move around. With medela I had to sit still in one place and also lean forward so milk wouldn’t slip out. The Willow you can sit comfortably on your couch or even mop your floors. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the cost of bags and them not collecting enough milk when used in the device. I got the reusable bags but for the cost of the pump I wish they came with it. But for sure a wonderful purchase worth the price for convenience. And the app is a great tool and rewarding to see your accomplishments!

I love that I’m not tied down to my pump, and I can move around with my 3 yr old. That a major plus. I wish it wasn’t so expensive and would be covered by insurance. The bags are expensive and should hold at least 5oz. The pumping container is kind of intimidating at first and took some time and spilled milk to get use to. The container should come with a cleaning brush to get all the nooks and crannies. The flex tube brush doesn’t cut it. Over all the product is excellent and the amount of milk I get during a session is great.

Hands free lifesaver

I bought the Willow after reading many reviews and watching tons of videos. I chose it for its leak proof ability and knowing from reviews it had a strong suction which I needed. I’m a nurse in the NICU and I use these every shift 3 times per shift. These have allowed me never to miss a pump session. I gave this pump the time and did my research on how to make sure I was using it properly. Now I am able to advocate for it to my fellow coworkers and educated other moms with babies in the NICU who have the Willow on how to use it or promote them to purchase one if it is fitting for their situation. I have had no real issue I couldn’t resolve from cleaning or repositioning the pump. I wish I would have had these with my prior two babies but am so thankful to have them now!! Thanks Willow!

From a working mama..

The Willow pumps have absolutely changed my relationship with breastfeeding. When I started working after maternity leave, pumping and breastfeeding my son seemed like an impossible thing. Let’s face it. The working world does not support breastfeeding mamas. I felt bad about interrupting my workflow, hiding in a closet, switching into pumping bras, frantically finding outlets... it was just ridiculous. AND THEN THE WILLOWS SHOWED UP AT MY DOOR STEP! Goodbye to pauses in my work day! Goodbye changing into nursing bras and so and so forth! My Willows are everything to me. I am able to function at hone and at work while pumping to feed my sweet boy! I’m never looking back!

Overall a great device, with some technical challenges

The Willow is a game-changer compared to a traditional pump. Love that I can walk around, tend to baby, or even work, while pumping. However, there's a steep learning curve and the device is finicky, especially with the reusable containers which must be kept meticulously clean in order to avoid seal problems and volume inaccuracies. The first 2-3 weeks of use were frustrating. Willow's customer service was helpful. Overall, to me it has been worth the time and energy to figure out the nuances, but hopefully future generation devices will eliminate some of the issues.

Couldn't have done it with any other pump!

I have a very labor intensive job and my pumps have not failed me yet. I suggest looking into appropriate bras for using while pumping. Not necessarily nursing bras just ones that hold them in place good for you It’s been a total lifesaver. Especially the bags considering I don’t have to handle the milk. Just pop the bag in, put the pump on, wait until it’s full and toss it in the fridge! I would not have followed through with pumping or breastfeeding if it wasn’t for these pumps! Good luck to you!

Disappointed. Not as helpful as I’d hoped it would be.

I got the Willow as a gift with the new containers. I didn’t like the wasteful aspect of the bags or the price of them. So when the containers came out, it made much more sense to me. The containers were a bust and had to be replaced multiple times with still no success...Meanwhile, both pumps eventually had to be replaced because they stopped working. I ultimately switched to bags with the replacement pumps. It works but I don’t trust it. I exclusively pump, so I pump all day long. Being that it’s my second baby I feel like a pro at this point. I wanted this to save me from being literally tethered to a wall. The cost and the time I had to spend waiting for replacements and problem solving was not worth it. Plus, I was using my old pump pretty much the entire time I was attempting this one. I truly wish I could return it for diapers or something at this point. I’m disappointed knowing the amount of money that was wasted on an unreliable device.
