3rd time mom/ first time Willow pump user

I had my daughter at 36 weeks, after many hours of trying to get her to latch, after multiple nurses and lactation consultants trying to help me. I was in tears, my baby was in tears and my nurse was in tears. If it wasn’t for the Willow I would have given up. I have used other pumps before, but the Willow was much more comfortable on nipples. 4 days post birth and I’m loving the Willow. I can pump anytime, I’m able to get things done while pumping. I also love that you can lie down and pump too. This is a must have!

Not sure if it is worth it!

I have had nothing but issues with this pump. Technical issues: had to reset it daily; blinking lights even after everything is washed; 1 to 2 switch not closing valve tightly enough; reporting odd numbers in 5 minutes of pumping (17oz), when there was only 1 oz. Personally, it is painful, my milk production dropped, and I had to pump on high for at least 25 minutes to get some volume; doesn't empty the breast fully. I was truly looking forward to loving this pump and to being able to move around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best investment!!

I’ve heard so many reviews from all around the internet and from friends and family. I was so excited when my Willow arrived to get started !! It took some learning but after the 2nd pump I was comfortable and was so happy!! I’m pumping the same volume as I was with my other pump but I’m able to move about the house and keep up with laundry, dishes, and play with the dog. I’ve even was able to pump on the road on our way out of town. Once I’m back to work it’s perfect for pumping at the office! Don’t think just do it!! Worth the investment to not be stuck to a wall for hours on end each day !

Able to pump at work

I am an ICU RN- I returned to work with my Ameda pump and it was very stressful to find 3 times in a 13 hour shift to leave the unit to pump for 20 minutes or so while making sure my patients were cared for. I bought the willow and now even on my busiest days am able to run and put the pumps on and then work and care for my patients while pumping. It has taken all of the stress out of returning to work and pumping. I will say the suction is different and took my body a little bit before I saw the output I had with my regular pump but after about two weeks my output was the same or more than it had previously been.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the portability

I love the fact that I don’t have to put my life on hold to pump constantly. However I will lost the negatives You should know about on a product that you can’t return once opened
1- there are 2 pumps that are charged individually and only one charger
2- you are always going to spill a tiny amount with the containers (no more than one mL but enough to create a mess that needs to be cleaned)
3- if you don’t remember to turn the dial before removing the pump you will spill a significant amount- a tired mom in the middle of the night may easily forget to do this!
4- there is a bit of a learning cyber to get used to aligning it correctly
5- choosing the right size flange isn’t very easy and I had to pay a no consultant to help determine my size who then directed me to buy inserts
6- not as comfortable as my standard Spectra pump
7- have to adjust suction from

8- should be able to preset the time or volume to be pumped and then stop so you don’t have to keep staring at the app
9- they’re very large so yes, you can pump at work but if you meet with clients etc while doing so, they will hear the pump and notice an obvious size difference

Such a great pump!
I love the ease of the bags while at work because I do nails and I don’t have to worry about contamination to babies milk.
Then when at home I switch the the reusable containers to save a little money! Total win win with this pump.

Hands free and so easy to use!

I love the ability the Willow gives me to be able to get things done around the house while pumping. The app is very user-friendly, has great display information, and tells me exactly what is wrong if it's not pumping correctly. The bags are really easy to use, but the reusable containers are incredible! And everything is simple to wash! The only downfall is that it comes with only one charging cord. I would (and have) recommend the Willow to any breastfeeding moms!!

Life changer

Words cannot describe how much of a life changer this pump has been! As a busy RN with a newborn and 2.5 yr old finding time to do anything is hard. My daughter was born prematurely and unfortunately never was able to successfully latch/nurse despite time with a LC so I exclusively pump. The typical hook up to the wall bottles needing to be held was just not working. I was losing time with my loved ones and more importantly my baby. Someone graciously got me the willow and it has changed my life. I pump anywhere and everywhere now! I don’t care where I am I am able to pump and make sure my daughter only has breastmilk. I pumped at seaworld, driving, exercising, doing laundry, cooking, and working. I love that it is a closed system with the bags, makes it so easy for pumping and storing at work. The containers are hit or miss with me I have issues with them. The bags are awesome but expensive those are my only critiques. But because of the willow I am free again and I feel empowered as a mom and woman. This pump is a life changer for me because no matter where life brings me I can pump so my daughter never has to have formula!
I would recommend this to a friend!
