Great for going back to work
on October 10, 2020

I’m a dentist and wasn’t sure what I would do for pumping at work. Pumping into sealed bags made me safer to avoid contamination. While at home I use containers and get to spend more quality time with my family. Also I tried using it for sleeping through the night (would not recommend this ). The suction can only be manually interrupted and I slept through the whole night and woke up with really sore nipples .

For busy moms
on October 12, 2020

The willow pumps are great for busy nursing moms who can’t afford being stuck to the wall while pumping. There are a few things that can be improved such as the app experience or the tube seems not draining the milk all the way sometimes. But since the concept of portable pumps is new it will be worked out eventually.

Good hands free option

Overall this is an amazing breast pump for moms! There are a few things that I personally don’t like. 1. I have large breasts so I look ridiculous with the pump in my bra and under a shirt. You can definitely see that I have something in my bra if I’m in public. Now that doesn’t stop me from pumping but to others it might. 2. The suction is only on your nipple. When we breastfeed our babies, they latch as wide as possible to get some of the areola but with the willow it only suctions at the nipple, which causes discomfort. If you are pumping more than once a day, that would be very uncomfortable. 3. The containers that you can reuse each time are a great idea but somehow every time you go to get all the of milk out of the flex tube, it will spill bc if it’s shape of the container. I just hate spilling even a drop of milk. We work hard for it! I’m just pointing out my negatives which others might not agree with and of course nothing is perfect. I still use this pump every day, once a day when I need to multitask.

Issue with my pump
on October 17, 2020
Posted by: Cassidy H.
So I had bought these pumps back in August of 2020. Not even 2 month later did I start having trouble with my right pump. For some odd reason the pump just kept giving me an error that the container was closed incorrectly and would not allow me to pump. It was very frustrating to say the least as I use them every day, except weekends. I hate being tied to my other pump, which is why I love that these are mobile! (Although, the only thing I dislike is the fact that if you are small breasted- such as myself- these pumps give you the allusion of having ginormous boobs!)
anyway, I had contacted customer support and they fixed my issue within days! I was truthfully very impressed! I answered all of their questions with as much detail as possible and in TWO days I had a replacement pump! Would absolutely recommend this product to any breastfeeding mom who needs to pump on the go or needs to do things around the house but doesn’t want to have to struggle with wires or being plugged into a wall. I love these pumps! They have made my life so much easier!

Not what I expected
on October 20, 2020

I got the willow pump for the convenience of pumping on the go without being tethered to wires and tubes. I obviously love being able to pump whenever/wherever but this pump is not great at emptying the breast. I have also struggled with emptying the containers without it spilling or leaking precious breast milk.
Lastly for the cost of this product I would expected it to come with two charging cords. It would be nice to fully charge both at the same time in 2 hours rather than it taking 4 hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not my main pump
on October 20, 2020

I bought the willow to allow me to not be on a strict pump schedule. It did take me about 6 or 7 pumps to get the willow flip under control and not drop so much milk whilst doing soo. It’s also taken me about 2 weeks to get used to the different feel of the pumping sensation (Medela user)
The willow I bring most places with me now, it allows me to power pump when I’m driving to work after I pump using my Medela. It also allows me to get out and not feel worried about supply dropping because I’ve had to miss a pumping session. FYI I’m in Australia, and it works and charges perfectly down here.

Pricey but worth it
on October 22, 2020

I was hesitant to get the Willow because of the price. The financing allowed me to get it. I went w the elvie first and although quiet, it was a little painful on the nipple. I bought the bags and the containers with the willow and it makes it so easy to pump at work. They are big and it is not super quiet but it does a great job. I wear it in front of ppl. I love the app because it is super helpful. The pumps have L and R on them but I think it’s to help keep track of milk output in app more than anything. I wear them interchangeably. The pump is not painful on the nipple. I honestly can’t tell the difference between my baby’s latch or the pump. It is not painful
