These pumps are a total game changer!

These pumps are fantastic. I bought the Willow pumps when pumping with the spectra wasn't working out for me and my schedule. The Willow pumps were a game-changer, allowing me to pump during my commute, pump at work, and pump while playing with my daughter. In addition to highly recommending the pumps, I've also had a great experience with the customer service team. When one of my milk containers stopped maintaining suction they sent me a new set and when I had a problem with one of my pumps they walked through several troubleshooting options with me and ultimately sent me a replacement pump. This type of customer service and standing by the product makes these pumps well worth the price!

Very Disappointed

First of all, I want to state that I truly did give the Willow a really good chance- I used it for three months before I decided to go with a different pump. I purchased the Willow because of the ease of pumping while not being forced to sit in one spot, the minimal pieces and the fact that it could fit inside my bra (I hated the thought of two sprinklers sitting on my chest).
My first issue with the Willow was the fact that it does not pump out all of my milk entirely. I've attempted multiple different flange sizes, watched the videos, etc. Bottom line, it just did not pump strongly enough to get out all of my milk entirely.
Second of all, the shape of the pump. The pump is shaped like a breast for ease of sitting in your bra. However, its very bulky and large. I assumed the design was to be discreet, as if I could pump in public and it not be noticeable. Thats not the case at all. Especially because I am smaller busted, it is very noticeable.
For the price, I was expecting the overall function of the pump to be more impressive and flawless. There were many times that my pump would not link up with my app and record my output. Secondly, the milk containers would state that they were full and there would only be 1oz of milk in there. After speaking to customer service- I attempted the vinegar wash and this did not help. It was suggested that I purchase new milk containers as mine were greater than 3 months old- they had been purchased more than 3 months ago, but I had only actually used them for about 1.5 months. And to note, I was diligent about cleaning my milk containers as directed by Willows instructions, reset my pump to see if that would improve the issues, etc.
Overall, for the price of the Willow- I was disappointed at its function and performance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Putting my willow away

I just cleaned and stowed away my pumps after a year of breastfeeding/pumping. I honestly don’t know what I would have done at work without willow pump. I’m an ICU nurse and there are just times I can’t leave the floor longer than a couple minutes because of how busy it is or if I have a super sick patient. Willow pump has been such an amazing pump for work — I was always able to pump at least twice during work (during insanely busy days) and on a normal day every 4 hours on the dot without fail.
Willow pump is the reason why I was able to breastfeed for so long even after going back to work because the consistency in pumping allowed my supply to remain the same or even increase. I never needed to supplement with formula except for during the first week my daughter was born (and it was for medical necessity not really a supply issue)!

Love hate relationship

I want to love this pump. When it works, it's effecient and convenient. However, with the reusable containers it only works about 25% of the time...it never gets out of stimulation mode (and yes I tried every trick and watched every video for help), and the app on your phone that correlates with it is never accurate. I have tried new containers, bought extra flanges and other parts to rule out issues, and even went through a lengthy trial and error process with the tech help people, to no avail. The bags tend to work all the time, but that defeats the purpose of buying the reusable containers and wasting all that money. Finally, the fact that there isn't an override feature to switch to expression is ridiculous and I think a design flaw. This pump costs way too much for it to not work properly from the get go. Disappointed :(

Wonderful pump

The Willow has been a life saver! I have a very busy schedule seeing patients all day as a Nurse Practitioner. I don’t have the opportunity to stop every 2-3hrs to pump, even for 10-15minutes. I was very worried returning to work after maternity leave, that I might lose my supply and need to stop nursing. With the Willow, I’m able to put my pump on quickly and keep working while it does it’s thing. The suction is perfect compared to other pumps I’ve tried. And I have the freedom to keep doing all my mommy duties hands free without cords or the worry of spilling. Definitely worth the money!!!

I used another pump with my first but this pump CHANGES THE GAME! It’s so easy to use and you’re not plugged in to the wall which makes it easier to do other tasks and chase a toddler!

Too expensive for something that breaks down so quickly

I hate that containers weren't included but we were happy to invest in them since bags were way too expensive over time. It stopped working correctly after a month of use. It wouldn't stop chugging. Cleaning in vinegar didn't work. We sanitized it often. Now, it's very convenient and doesn't hurt, when it's working. I saw my milk production increase which is why I am happy to give three stars. However, the fact that I already had to buy multiple new parts to get it to work correctly is terrible. Buy if you have money to spare.
