Convenient but ineffective

This is SO convenient to use, however it just doesn’t work for me.
I love that there are less parts and you can pump straight into a bag. That has to be one of my favorite features. At home I’m comfortable enough to get up and do chores. This is also very handy. I got 6 pumps out of mine every time which is awesome!
However, I didn’t find the suction to even begin to compare to my Spectra S2. I dropped from 4.5oz per session to 1-1.5oz per session. I was still engorged after 25 minutes and when at work, I can’t wear them and pump linger because they aren’t discreet enough for me. Also, these should include two chargers in every order. Only including one is very inconvenient since most people need to charge them at the same time. Lastly, while I like pumping into bags, I wasn’t getting a full serving due to lowering output so I’m not able to freeze them. You need to make an option where you can buy bags or the cup.
You need to make some type of partial refund for the pumps themselves. I understand not accepting back the flanges or opened bags but the pumps should be returnable for that hefty of a price. I’m super disappointed.

Me or Dolly Parton?
on November 14, 2019

It took me nearly two months to decide on the purchase of the Willow Breast Pump. After all, it's an investment the insurance company doesn't help you with. And as I thought back and remembered that I stopped breastfeeding earlier than I wanted to with my first kiddo due to my work travels, I quickly realized this pump was a must-have for me when I went back to work. Now, a week into being back to the grind and using the Willow exclusively at work and on the road, I have to say, this pump is genius. I was nervous it would be difficult to get used to, but it's not. If you have used a pump before, you will learn to use the Willow quickly. I love the app and find myself checking how much I pumped like a stalker. I also noticed that I pump more with the Willow than my Spectra I use at home, which makes me hopeful that I will be able to breastfeed longer this time than last. Regarding the noise the pump makes during sessions, I was sure it would be noticeable by those around me, but it isn't (I've asked several people). You can only hear it when in a quiet room like a bathroom. Otherwise, most daily surrounding noises cancel the pump's pumping sounds (safe to use in your office). Now for my one dislike and it's a big one (no pun intended). I understand you can't fit everything into a tiny package, but these make my chest look huge, Dolly Parton huge, and that makes me feel uncomfortable at work. I started wearing a sweater to cover up, but the biggest (HA) challenge is choosing tops to wear to work every day that have enough room in the chest area to be able cover me up while wearing the pump. I didn't notice this in any photos promoting the pump online therefore, it was a surprise to see my Dolly Parton chest once I put the pump on for the first time. All in all, the pump is worth the buy. I love the spill-free bags (brilliant!), but they go quickly and therefore, I would recommend the reuseable containers as well and use both interchangeably. A quick shout out to the Willow team for coming up with such an innovative product for us moms. It is so advanced compared to the traditional pumps out there, I feel like Wilma Flintstone when using my plugin pump at home - I'm literally a hostage for the duration of my session and wouldn't you know it, that's the one time my kids need me, interrupting my sessions all the time. So, THANK YOU Willow team, THANK YOU, well done!

Life changing!

I was really struggling to find the time and place to pump. I am a working mom, always on the go, and I found that I wasn't pumping as frequently or for as long as needed to produce enough milk for my baby. I was hesitant to purchase because of the price - also was a little skeptical about how well it would work... but it has exceeding my expectations. I can now pump anywhere - and work while I pump. Instead of pumping 10-15 minutes with my Spectra - I can now wear my willow pump for 30 min if I want - your hands are free, you can walk around, work, eat, wash dishes, whatever! It's truly liberating. And because I now can pump longer (and anywhere for that matter), I'm making more milk. The only down side is that the bags are expensive - I also bought the reusable container, which I'll review separately and recommend overall though it does leak and difficult to clean compared to the bags.

Love this pump!!!

I am a Registered Nurse and I bought this pump for my return to work. I still take a break when pumping, because I have a decent size bust and willow isn’t all that discreet feeling to me, but I could totally go work the floor if I needed to. I do wish they were thinner, I feel like Dolly Parton when I have them on haha.
I love that it is hands free and cord free. I can literally do anything that I want while pumping. I feel that the suction on the pump is exceptional and works better than my madela. I have never had to turn the suction past the lowest setting.
I also highly recommend the reusable containers. I prefer them over the bags because the bags tend to fill up with air and it pushes my pump away from the flange and this sometimes doesn’t allow me to get all of the milk out of the flex tube or fill up the bag all the way, and we all know how precious our breast milk is. I do think the bags are super useful if you are out and about, because they are spill proof so you can toss them wherever.
I also bought a second charger too that way I could charge both pumps at the same time. It would be nice if they had a double ended charger.
Overall, I do think it takes a few times of using the product to get the hang of it, but once you learn how to, the product really is amazing!!
I do recommend this if you have the money to splurge. I am very glad that I did!!!

Absolutely love Willow and the milk containers

The willow & milk containers are a gamer changer. I pumped with my first child & Willow affords so much more mobility and freedom to pump anywhere you need. The milk containers are a must. I can pump up to 6 oz of milk into each milk container (12 oz total). Cleaning is easy - only 3 parts to clean for each part. There is a little learning curve for the alignment, but well worth it once you get the hang of using the clear flange. The videos in the app are very helpful to learn & troubleshoot.

Pumped for the Willow!
on November 19, 2019

The Willow pump is an amazing option for Moms at home and on the go. In the first couple weeks, I had been using my spectra, first with no hands-free pumping bra, which I had to immediately rectify. Then I tried the freemie cups so I didn't feel as awkward when we had visitors and I had to cover up (by my own choice) or disappear for 30 minutes at a time. Now I almost exclusively use the Willow. It did take a few trial and error sessions to get things right because it was very painful for me at first, but now I love it. I have the bags for when I'm going to be moving a lot or napping or if I'm out and about and don't want to worry about bringing storage bottles. I also have the containers which are great for me at work or at home so I don't have to purchase as many bags. They are also basically leak free, as long as you don't go upsidedown or jump around like crazy. I've been sharing my experience on my instagram, @pumping4twins if you'd like to see some videos of how to use it in my experience. Highly recommended!

Best pump ever!

The willow pump is amazing. I’m a mom to 3 kids, one is a very busy 3 year old, and with out willow breastfeeding wouldn’t be an option. You can literally pump while doing anything you want. I love how easy it is to take on the go, and the milk containers are so nice!! I don’t have a single complaint about the willow pump.
