Game changer

Willow is so easy to use and it gives pumping moms their freedom back! I've been using willow now for over a year and this is the first time that I've been able to stick with nursing and pumping while at work. With my last 2 kids I gave up after a month or two because I simply couldn't be stuck behind a desk attached to wires and not being able to get my work done. This time willow has changed that, it had liberated me.

Pumping made easy

What a world we live in where pumping is this simple. I travel a ton for work, both via car and plane, and the Willow pumps made my breastfeeding and pumping life so much easier!! A ready-to-freeze bag that stores relatively flat, pumps that connect to your phone to tell you how much milk you've pumped, and it is a hands-free/chord-free/hassle-free experience. I will also say that the pumps are very efficient. I can pump and be done often in 10-15 minutes where a regular pump would take way longer. Willow, I love you. I am also a milk donor so it is super easy to raid my freezer stash of bags and ship them to the milk bank. No need for me to transfer milk from bottles to bags at all. The bag is ready to go. This pump made breastfeeding and working a breeze. My baby is 15 months and still going strong. If I had too many parts to clean and all kinds of things to deal with I may have quit long ago. But Willow made it possible for me to keep breastfeeding as long as it works for us. I love it. Thank you Willow!!

This pump is worth its weight in gold! There is nothing like being able to use your pumping time wisely, like pumping during my commute, doing the dishes, hold my baby, or even being able to sit next to my husband on the couch! Being stuck to the wall, holding the flanges to me, and having to pour milk from the collection bottle to the bag is something I will never miss. Thank you Willow!

The Will(ow) to Be Free
on July 24, 2019

I originally purchased my Willow during their pre-launch phase prior to the birth of my son in 2018. I had watched a YouTube video regarding the recent baby must haves of the future and the Willow was featured. I immediately looked it up and thought, ‘a wearable breast pump I need this’. I was tired of having to waste so much time sitting in my office to pump or having to find a location to pump. I’m a college professor and collegiate dance coach and I was quickly realizing that I was missing out on things, panicking that I was not going to have time or find the appropriate electrical necessities to pump. And yes, this even includes having a silly car charger pump plug too. It really was way too much and more so because,I had two tiny humans at home, I needed to teach and follow through on my responsibilities as an army wife. I needed functionality and freedom ASAP. So Willow was my saving grace.
I order it without the help of insurance and took a gamble. It arrived and I just stared at it. Could this really be the answer? It was sleek, adorably cute in grey with minimal accessories and not bulky like my previous boxed like pump with all its gadgets. I no longer needed to be a bag lady to carry this pump. And it when it was time to finally try it out, it was really an eye opener.
I downloaded the app which was super easy, watched the log of videos that came with it for instruction and use purpose and I was set just like that. Putting the Willow together was a cinch. I no longer was looking for a flange or that ridiculous small valve that had to be replaced so often or removed from my child’s mouth because she sneaked into mommies bag and thought, hmm something to chew on. It had a spill proof bag, the breast shape motor and cover and that was it.
And the fit or wearability of it was surprisingly okay. Yes, I had to get use to how it felt on my body, how to put it on and being comfortable to walk around with Dolly Pardon size breast. But what a small price to pay for freedom. The sounds from the breast pump were much quieter than the other pumps I had. Granted you can hear it if you are super close to me, but honestly it’s not something that did not really affect me once I got moving or being in an environment that covered the small sound that did come from it during the expression stage as it pushes the milk into its spill proof bag. And yes, I have pumped while teaching a class (lecture, group work and activity time) but I have not done so during a test. As for being the coach for a dance team, I have pumped during practice, at a game and a few appearance events without concerns. Well, the only concern is when I have to take off the pump. Of course, I excuse myself and take it off but that is a small price to pay. And even when I’m not able to excuse myself, I traditionally have a shawl or adorable breastfeeding cover on to remove it. And it’s quick to do that too.
All in all, I love my Willow. It’s easy to use, clean, reorder bags and travel with. And this includes TSA. Although you have a lot of explaining to do if you walk with it through the TSA check point. I did it once and decided it was too much of hassle to educate everyone there. But it is doable-FYI. Also customer service is AMAZING, seriously AMAZING. I had an issue with one of my pumps and I got a new one so quick that my pumping sessions were not affected. I even had someone call me every other day until it got there on how to manage my pumping session and if I needed any other help. I honestly had a breast pump agent of help-how cool is that. After all breastfeeding and pumping isn’t always easy.
Anyways, I’m now using Willow again for my last tiny human who was born less than a month ago. The update I have is, I need to replace my Willow which is okay. I mean I used it for one kid for a 13 months excessively at least 4 to 6 times a day and now I’m using it for another kiddo. And as the industry puts it wear and tear has come to pass. But my use to worth was right on the money.
Unfortunately my insurance company still won’t cover it and I’ll have to take on the price tag of it all. But for now, I’m going to use until it no longer will turn on. It’s funny, I only have the right one now and I am still happy using just one. I will never go back to boxed like or even alien space ship sized electrical pump again. NEVER! I’m happy to be and live without a plug thanks to Willow. I’m currently using Willow 1.0, would love to get Willow 2.0.
P.S. If you are pumping and feeding, make sure your kiddos adorable toes don’t have the ability to kick your Willow pump off (creation of misalignment). I had to upgrade my bra to ensure a better hold for those situations and less discomfort when it does happen. But at least I don’t spill any milk-thank goodness.
And yes, I think Willow should come up with a breast feeding/pump bra. I have had to look for the right one and it was so infuriating. I’m good now, but it took some time. And yes, it must be wireless!!!!

I love the Willow! Willow has given me my life back in so many ways. I can freely care for my 3 under 3 with ease. I love that I have a choice to use bags or the container. No waste at home, but still easy on the go with bags! I would highly recommend this pumping system! No leaks, no cords, unlimited possibilities! Willow for the win!

I loved my Willow pump! There was a period of getting used to how it works, but once I did, using it was a breeze and so convenient.

Good if an absolute necessity

I'm an RN so most times it's hard to step away from patients to have time to pump so Willow was a life saver. It made it very discreet and convenient to keep my supply up. I would say if your job allows you time to pump and Willow wouldn't be an absolute necessity, I don't think I would spend the money on it. It would be nice if insurance would at least partially cover it

It's good but still can use some improvements

I like it that you're able to do house chores and other stuffs while pumping. It's definitely wayyy better than being hookup to a wall for pumping. I wish it offers more flange sizes and make the pump lighter.
