I'm hands free!!!

I absolutely love my Willow Pump! It took me a few days before I had a chance to take my pump out of the box but, once I was able to open it and get it going, I don't know that I can imagine what my pumping days were like before it. The instructions were easy to follow, the pump is easier on me than the Medela pump I was using, I'm no longer connected to a wall, and best of all my hands are free!!!!! My first few attempts were pretty successful but I had some air in the bags and a little trouble with the Flip to Finish. After a few tries I gave the customer care team a call and the representative walked me through the process. She gave me some great tips – to include watching the videos and downloading the app. I tend to think I'm a pretty intuitive person so I really didn't think much about watching the videos or using the app but once I did, I couldn't believe what a difference it made! Now that I'm a pro, I bring my Willow Pump with me whenever I go out and I have so much more flexibility than I did in the past. No more wall outlets and no more wires! YESSSS!!

Must have pump for every mom!

Third time mom here. Initially I was skeptical to try - will it work as good as other pumps; will the suction be strong enough; will it really not spill, etc?
It took me a couple days of using it to get the hang of it and now I’m hooked!
This product has literally given me my life back. I can pump while I’m getting ready in the morning, in the car on the way to an outing, at night lying down while I’m sleep deprived. I don’t have to be attached to a cord, or buy special bras.
I know in 25 minutes or sooner I’ll be done. The app helps me track how much I’ve pumped so far. The suction works really well. I’ve never had to go above level 1 (there are seven levels). It empties the breast without me having to constantly massage.
I totally love my pump and it’s very liberating!
The only downside is the cost of the bags. They are pricey. It’s still worth it to me given the freedom I gain but it would be nice if they were cheaper as you will go through a lot. Sometimes you pump, fill up a bag, load a new one and only one ounce is pumped, so kind of a waste of a bag. I told myself it’s about the cost of two coffee drinks a day.

Game changer, but not perfect

Overall, the Willow was a great purchase. With a new baby and a 20 month old, not being tied to the wall is amazing. I can pop the Willow on and either read with my oldest, or get a few things done while the baby is napping. Being able to move around is huge. Only having to wash two pieces is also really nice.
I had heard from some friends who got the Willow 1.0 that they didn't like it because they couldn't pump enough, so I would recommend anyone considering this purchase make sure they have been successful pumping before they make the jump (because it's PRICEY!).
I have also found that the app isn't always accurate when measuring output and sometimes doesn't even sync with my pumps at all so I have no way of knowing how much I have pumped and then need to measure it out and put in new bags (which is time consuming and means purchasing even more bags). If you pump a full 4oz you also need to be ready to pour some of the excess milk in the pump directly in a bottle.
So overall, this is a game changer because you can move, it's easy to use and you only have to clean two parts, but I have run into a few issues, so would only recommend if you know you can successfully pump and can stomach the price.

Super convenient!

I was able to beta test the 1.0 and just started pumping with the 2.0. I love my Willow. I am able to get so many things done while I pump- or I can just lay down and not have to worry about awkwardly holding my pumps.

A lifesaver

I never thought I would call something that sucked on my nipples while out in public a “life saver”.... but here I am. This was easily the best purchase I made with my second baby. Already having a 2 year old and a full time job meant that being plugged into a lot all for 30 min several times a day just wasn’t a realistic option. You call it the willow pump I call it freedom.

Game changer!!

The willow saved me. I am a doctor and work about 80 hours a week. There is no way I would be able to sit down and pump for 20 minutes five times a day. With the willow, I can see patients and even run to the hospital if I need to all while pumping. Now truth be told it is not as discrete as it seems if you are a small person. The people around you can tell there is something going on in your shirt, but no one seems too distracted by this or to mind. This pump will make it so I can hit a year of breast feeding! Thanks!!

No more lonely days

I had a few issues getting started, BUT I had willow there to help along the way! I could text for help at 7pm on Saturday night and the person who was helping actually responded! Once I got the right bras, I had a great experience. It has been SO amazing not being locked up in a room while pumping and even better than that, I could talk to other people while pumping. My boobs look enormous, but no one can tell that I'm pumping! But they know because I am SO excited to share that I'm pumping and fully clothed. One rep told me another woman plays soccer while pumping!!! I didn't believe it, but with the right bra I guess it's possible! I can unload the dishes at home, make copies at work and not waste a moment- this is truly hands free! You need this pump. You do.

I spent awhile online looking for a pump. I immediately became interested in Willow because it was hands free, cordless, had an internal bag, and seemed like it would be great for pumping at work. I ordered my pump in May. My daughter came early and is still in the NICU and I've been pumping exclusively for 2 months.
I want to say it's hard to know your flange size, till you've actually pumped. Yes, I looked at the help sheet and held various sizes of coin up to my nipple. The Willow pump makes my nipples bleed. The smallest flange they offer is 24mm and I definitely need a 21mm.
I regret that this was the pump my insurance paid for instead of purchasing something that provides flanges in the size I need.
I still do bring it to work with me, it is more convenient to bring the Willow and wash it, then to lug my rented Medela (also covered by insurance due to my daughter being in the NICU) to work and to use and wash all the parts for that.
A side note, the larger cleaning brush it came with snapped. And the website doesn't seem to sell replacement brushes.

I like their vision, but they really should offer more flange sizes, or at least have a real time table for when they plan to release more flange sizes, not a vague, we plan to in the future sometime.
I would only recommend this product if you KNOW you're a standard flange size of 24/27mm. This is not a product you want to buy as a first time mom and find out you're not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
