Nurse friendly!
on July 16, 2019

I’m an ER/Trauma nurse and some days are just too busy to step off of the floor and pump. I invested in willow for this purpose and now can I not only rush around working with my pump on, I can pump more frequently since I don’t need 30 minute breaks all of the time! I was debating quitting my job and going into tremendous debt prior to willow! Now I can provide milk for my baby and money for my family!

Overall...a life changer!

Overall, I’m super satisfied. These pumps are amazing. They have literally changed my pumping life, and I'm so happy I made this decision.
Pro’s:
-Top notch customer support!! I thought I had a lost pump when it was being delivered, it was totally my fault, but they texted me back right away!
- I LOVE not being literally connected to a giant pump + an outlet. No tubes, no ugly flanges sticking out. I'm able to pump on the go.
- The suction power is a-ma-zing. I consistently have it on the lowest setting which is more than fine for me.
- I LOVE the app! The app is so cool. I love seeing how much I've pumped and on either side, and I really love having a record of aaaalll of my pumps ever. I can go back and see which boob is the better producer, what times of day are best for pumping, etc.
- This thing is definitely good for boosting supply. 100%.
- It's much smaller and much more portable than any of the pumps I've used before. I can throw the pumps in my backpack, instead of having a separate carrying case.
Con's
- The biggest con of the Willow is the learning curve. It took me maybe 2 weeks to really figure it out.
- I don't love that you can't manually move from stimulation to expression. And, if you have to pause and realign the pump in the middle of expression mode, it switches back to stimulation once you get it back on. This is a big part of the learning curve. I don't mind it now because I know how it works, so I can better time the realignment if I need to, but at the beginning this was annoying.
- I wish it came standard with two chargers instead of one, so I could charge both of them at the same time. I ordered another charger after a few weeks. A pro, though, is that they last for 4 pumps, for me, so I can use them for a full day at work without having to charge them once.

My goal is to breast feed my daughter until she is 1, she is 7 months old and I am going strong with producing milk. The only reason is because I have purchased a willow pump, this has been the best investment ever!!! I work full-time in the medical field very busy I am able to pump and work at the same time love it!!!

Changed the way I viewed pumping!

I am a work from home mom and having the freedom to pump while maintaining the home or getting work done was a game changer for me. I absolutely hated being connected to chords and to the wall. I felt the willow worked very well for my breast size and for my needs. Although, I do feel that the other hospital grade pumps do a more efficient job. They get more milk in a shorter amount of time. The stimulation phase of the Willow can be long at times. The only other problem I have is with the bags. I feel that bags can be hard to assemble, but more importantly, I feel they are too expensive. You need a lot of bags, and that cost adds up compared to reusable bottles for the other pumps.

Worth every dollar!

It took me months to go ahead and buy this pump. I wished I had done sooner. I had a rough beginning with it, but once I spoke with a consultant things got much smoother. The Willow made my work day much easier. As a preschool teacher every second at work counts so being able to move around and get things done all while pumping was great.

I love my willow pump! The convenience of this pump makes my mom work life (police officer) easier and actually motivated me to breastfeed longer. Best design, thank you!

Great concept - needs improvement

I never had good connectivity - with an older iphone, ipad, and android. I gave up on the app ultimately. I do not recommend it as a primary pump, but it's been a good travel pump. I think the 2nd generation product will be great.

Hands free

Love that it’s hands free and I can pump while working. Only thing is it is bulky and sometimes hurts following a pumping session. The milk bags are also really expensive
