Terrible pump

This pump is actually really terrible. I love the idea of being able to pump on the go as I am a first responder. But this pump does not empty my breasts at all, and most recently caused nipple damage to the point where I expelled a blood clot from my breast while using my pump. It’s typically painful. I use a 17 mm flange on my spectra and on the Willow, I was able to keep the flange size the same on my spectra, but had to remove the inserts on the Willow as it was causing severe pain while pumping.

I got my pumps about 3 weeks ago. I have used them about 5 times. Other than the very first time I used them I have had issues every time getting one or the other to connect to my phone and there is nowhere to show you what to do it they don't connect. Also very inconvenient it only comes with one charger..

Regret this purchase - difficult in all the ways.

Bought this to use when I need to be hands free - typically use a Spectra. Have found everything difficult with the willow. First, way less output than the spectra. So many error messages in trying to use it (yesterday it told me my right breast had 25 ounces of output - in reality it was 0). It’s just difficult to get it to work, annoying to clean, and all the accessories are $$$$$. I bought it bc we had a long plane ride and I needed something to work. But wish I would have saved my $

Took some time but I LOVE them!

At first, it was a lot of technology for a breast pump. I was just used to putting them on, filling up and taking them off to pour. With the Willow, I had to make sure everything was inline, have the app open, the valves were closed (I bought the reusable pump containers), oh and the flip to finish was a disaster! It was a lot at first, but when I finally watched the videos and really slowed down, everything came together. My nipples are not sore because of the stimulation, basically getting prepared. Once the pumping actually starts, takes about 3-5 mins to fill up! Before it was like 7-10 mins, maybe longer. I am not wasting any milk and I don't mind pumping when it is time. I am only breast feeding but also work full time so I pump 2-4 times a day at work. I know some moms are probably scared at the cost but they are totally worth it. I promised myself I would buy a better pump for my second and I am so glad that I did. Insurance even covered some of the cost!

Overpriced - Not worth the hype

I have the Spectra S1, Lansinoh Duo Wireless, and Willow 3.0. Willow pumps the least. It is the loudest and the most uncomfortable. Save your money and get the Lansinoh. It’s as good as Spectra S1 and way better than Willow 3.0.

Bad pump

Not worth it, was hoping to be able to replace the Medela pump that I have but i cant: the fit is bad, the suction doesn’t work, the pump constantly loses the Bluetooth connection and this is so bulky.

Love/Hate Relationship

I am 2 weeks postpartum with my second daughter. My first daughter was a NICU baby which led to 10 months of exclusively pumping. I used a MomCozy my first breastfeeding experience, which was good while it lasted but it quickly deteriorated, got discolored, etc. I had the Willow pump on my short list of “would love to have” for this go around. At this point I’ve used the hospital pump, Willow, MomCozy, and the lanisoh wearable. What I love:- it empty’s my breasts way faster than the other options- pumping directly into self sealing bags- only 2 parts to clean- charges quickly- discreet & quiet- the app & watch comparabilityWhat I don’t love:- the suction is intense at first, unlike any other pump I’ve used. It sort of stings, but I get used to it quickly.- the price for bags/containers/extra parts. It’s a little ridiculous how much money you can spend having this pump.- the pump bags & container only hold 4oz & I typically pump 6oz per session, so that’s a little frustrating! All in all, I would recommend it but only if you have another option on hand too. I’ve run out of bags & don’t have a container yet. Can’t find bags in stores so having to use another pump while I wait on bags to come in. I also hear the container is really finicky, so will likely only use the Willow when I know the milk will go into the freezer. All that to say, the increased milk production has outweighed all the cons for me & definitely going to keep using it.If it weren’t so pricey, I’d probably give it a 4-5 star, but the cost really can be overwhelming.
