I love this pump! It’s helped me with my out out and is easy to use. I am on the go and constantly moving. To be able to pump and wear this in my bra, while shopping, cleaning, working, is a huge help and advantage. I don’t have to stop what I am doing to pump with cords on a separate machine and be stationary. They are larger and can be bulky depending on how heavy chested you are. I’m a DD and they are noticeable in my shirt, but I don’t care because they have made my everyday life easier and kept my sanity intact. The app is easy to use and I love that it tracks my milk production on a daily basis if you’re into numbers like me.

Do not buy this pump

Spending my money on the willow 3.0 was likely the worst thing I’ve ever done. This pump is terrible. I have not had one pumping session that has gone smoothly. I’m constantly needed to take off the pump, troubleshoot and hope I am successful. Main issues :- pump remains in stimulation mode and never expresses- pump absolutely destroys nipples - pump has significantly lower output than my other pump, about 1.5 oz less Do not buy. This product has single handedly made me want to quit pumping.

I have had many issues with the pumps. Customer service is amazing and the website is very good too, but as a busy mom, troubleshooting pump problems isn’t something I have time for. Also they are extremely heavy. The bras sold on Willow do not support the weight. I have tried two kinds. So although these are hands free, I have not found a bra I can wear and be able to still do activity because they are so heavy. The one positive I can say is when the pump is working, it is efficient.

Disappointed with my Willow

I was so excited to receive my Willow as I had conducted a ton of research on wearable pumps and definitely felt like Willow was the way to go. Unfortunately, these pumps simply do not get the same output as I do with my Spectra pump. I typically pump anywhere from 3-4 oz on the right side and 2-3 oz on the left...with the Willow I have NEVER gotten any ounces on the left and only get 1 oz on the right. The mobile app tells me I have pumped over 5 oz but when I open the pump itself I am left with 1 ounce on the right (and again, nothing on the left). I measured my nipples and bought the proper size flange inserts (confirmed this with my lactation consultant). I am really hoping they allow me to return this for a refund as I am not going to be able to use this pump!

Super bummed that the willow 3.0 didn’t meet my expectations. Pump needs to be charged often, had some difficulty latching since so many parts had to align for pump to operate. Suction is weak. Didn’t pump as much I would usually with my older pump. Milk containers won’t hold more than 4.3 oz and you’d have to spend more for a bigger milk container. I would return if I could. Huge disappointment.

This pump is a game changer. I cannot be tied to one place while pumping and I’m grateful to have this technology. A few thoughts for the next generation: the buttons should be discernible by touch and without looking. That way you can reach in and press the buttons by feel. The charger also really needs to be a usb-c. Not sure why a 9v was the way to go. I think the pump could be made considerably quieter by adding maybe a rubber gasket between the shell and mechanics just to give a little more dampener. Lastly? The spout portion of the bags could be better. The pinching and rolling and shaking to get all the milk out the weird spout is bothersome. Also could use just a small perforation start or make it tear able. I carry a small knife as part of my pump bag because they must be cut but the whole point is accessibility on the go.

Not enough suction

I had high hopes of using this pump when I report back to duty so I didn't have lug around my bigger pump and continue to work without stopping, but the Willow honestly doesn't have enough suction. My bigger pump has enough suction to where in one session I can get anywhere from 3.5 oz to 6 oz. With the Willow, I only get about 1 oz to 2 oz.

I really Hesitated to pull the trigger on this pump due to the mixed reviews. I did A LOT of research and made sure I got the right flanges. I ordered 3 different sizes just to be safe. From my experience you need to make sure you get YOUR size flange nothing bigger. Also use a nipple balm or coconut oil when using the pump it makes a big difference.
