As a working mom Willow gave me the ability to pump and get things done at work. Without Willow I would have quit pumping!

Watch the videos!

I loved this pump! At first, I had a lot of discomfort but it was my own fault. I didn't watch the (VERY) helpful videos included with the app. After taking a few minutes to watch them all, the latch was easier, and flipping to finish made so much more sense. I was able to pump in my office even with people coming in and never knowing I was pumping, and I was able to pump at home on my own with my LO and not have to hooked up to the wall. I recommend this pump 100%!

I really wanted to like this.

I really did want to love this. I am surgeon and was unable to breast feed my last child very long due to my demanding schedule. Many female physicians at my work recommended this to me and had great things to say about it, including several OB friends.
On a positive note, it is quiet. The design is sleek and it is aesthetically pleasing.
However, since beginning to use it I have been quite frustrated. I read every piece of information provided in the insert before beginning. I did everything according to instruction.
The bags are a lot larger than the device and therefore they are wrinkled and bunched when placed inside - which is noted in the instructions. Unfortunately, this also makes it difficult to achieve an adequate seal from the magnets.
The pump itself is painful. I have readjusted and have been trouble shooting. My nipple is directly in the center of the appliance as indicated. My nipple is the correct size for the flange. It is still VERY painful. And this is coming from someone who just labored for a day and has a high pain tolerance. I have used different bras and tried many different things, but I find myself cringing when I need to wear it and hunched over to protect my breasts.
Next, it is messy. Even when following instructions exactly, there is still a pretty dramatic mess left behind when finishing the session.
Most frustratingly, I have just finished pumping and despite being fully charged, the pump stopped working as I was trying to finish the "gulping" session at the end of pumping. Now, my milk is trapped inside the device. I am now charging it again, just to be able to save the milk that is trapped inside.
I will continue to work through these issues because I really do love the idea of being hands free. I just wish someone had warned me of these problems with the pump before I spent the money on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Working and Pumping: Yes! It CAN be done!

I bought the willow pump after doing research online because I was concerned about working in a busy ER and finding time to pump. I got the Willow pump and I’ve never looked back. In my busy ER as a nurse I am able to pump and care for my patients and families. I’m able to walk that line of a breastfeeding mom and a nurse! My last shift we were so crazy busy that there was no one to relieve me so I could take a pump break. My options were either to use my willow and work or to leave my hall mate to drown while I pump. Thankfully the Willow allowed me to pump and help! I love it and recommend it to all of my healthcare friends!
My only complaint is I have small nipples which made the willow painful at first but utilize their amazing coaches! That is what helped me succeed, and now I am actually increasing my supply.

I Can Work and Pump!

I got the willow because I work in a busy ER and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get away for my pump breaks. I knew that my unit would try hard to let me but sometimes the crap just hits the fan and it gets too busy. So I bought willow and struggled a bit at first. I was nervous my first night at work but everything went great! It has been such a relief to pump and not have it interfere with work. I've hung fluids, given meds, started IVs, it's amazing. I tell all of my pregnant nursing friends about the willow! And another nice perk, I've noticed that it has helped up my supply too!

After my maternity leave, I returned back to work full time. I work as a PA and so it's hard to block out my schedule to pump. Willow has allowed me to continue working, and see patients without having to run behind because I'm pumping. I just hit the 7 month milestone!
