Get yourself a hands free pump.

I chose Willow because I didn’t want to worry about bending over doing housework etc. while pumping with a hands free pump. But 100% I could never live without it!

This pump worked okay at first but the more I use it the more of a pain it becomes. It always leaks during the transfer. I’ve gotten it to not leak maybe 5 times. At least once a week one of the pumps will tell me I’m pumping out way more than I really am and then it’s a pain to fix it, but I can’t ignore it because it’ll tell me the milk container is full even though it’s not even close. Majority of the time I can only get one pump working so I’ll use the pump one boob at a time and use the Hakka on the other. Also one of the pumps is losing charge very quickly and making strange sounds. Overall it’s just a pain to use. Good concept but there’s other hand free pumps that I’m sure work better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although I do enjoy the neat features with the self-sealed bag and the app, the assembly of the pumps is more of a hassle, especially for the price of the pump. It is bulky and doesn't seem easy to work out in or be mobile.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the freedom it gives me

Willow 3.0 is a wonderful product. It lets me pump and still be able to do house chores, play with my toddler and my baby. It also helps me keep my supply up because I don't feel tied down. Having the option to use a reusable container and a spill-proof milk bag is definitely a plus too. I am going back to work in a few weeks and I am excited to use it then, just like my other coworkers.

I LOVE how this pump gives me the freedom to keep up with everything from cleaning bottles to cleaning the house. However, I don't get as much milk as I would with my spectra. There are times where I need to pump again an hour after I've initially pumped with the Willow. Though I need additional pumping sessions, I still enjoy my Willow.

Very convenient, but pricey EVERYTHING

The willow is great and extremely convenient especially for those moms that are back to work. The pump itself is quite pricey as well as all of its accessories and replacement parts I wish it came with 2 chargers or split charger with 2 ports since you can only charge one pump at a time and each takes close to 2 hours for full charge if battery is completely dead. Placement/alignment of pump is also essential as I did (and occasionally still do) get some discomfort if not properly aligned or improper flange size. Another thing is the app. The so is fast when it works properly. I have experienced trouble with the app/ pump accurately tracking amount. Sensors can be finicky if not properly cleaned/ any residue left. Overall it's an investment and I believe you will end up getting your money's worth. However, I know there are some other great portable wireless pumps that are a bit more affordable that I hear work just as well

Best pump I’ve tried

While no breast pump is perfect, this is the best one I have used (and I’ve tried many). As far as how effective/ efficient it is, I would say the Willow 3.0 is about 95% as effective as a Medela Pump in Style - what I would argue to be the best breast pump available, as far as strict pumping performance goes. (And I think the Medela gets slightly more milk per pumping session because you are able to massage your breasts to expel more milk. With the design of the Willow that is not impossible, but it is much more difficult.) What makes the Willow a superior pump - and the one I go to nearly every time now - is it’s convenience and comfort. The ability to move around, accomplish household chores, and pump in public cannot be understated. (You have to have a steel sense of self-confidence, however, because there is no way to conceal the massive pumps. They look ridiculous. But at the same time no one can see your nipples sticking out, so I just roll with it. I have no idea how they got the photos on the website to look half normal. I suppose you could answer the doorbell and if someone only saw you briefly from the front, they might not notice. But from the side there is no mistaking something is up. Still, at least you can go out in public and accomplish the tasks you need to do. I actually bought this pump to take my kids to Disneyland. I didn’t want them to have to spend their entire day locked in a room with me pumping. Now I can pump while we wait 30+ min in every line.) As for comfort, I am able to pump on a much lower suction level with the Willow 3.0 vs my Medela. The Medela leaves me stiff as a board, cringing in pain for the first 3-4 min of every pumping session and, even after, it is never pain free. The Willow, interestingly, feels exactly like a baby nursing. I don’t know what significance this has other than a point to be noted, but somehow the suction mechanism is clearly different. The Willow “sucks” and the Medela “pulls”, basically. The Willow initially draws the nipple into the pump very gently and absolutely pain free. That was such a welcome experience and one I didn’t know existed before getting this pump. Emptying the bags and storing the milk is easy, so long as the instructions are followed. I have zero issue there. Cleaning Willow 3.0 pump is FAR easier than scrubbing the multitude of pump parts comprising the Medela; which is another point that makes the Willow much more favorable for busy, working moms. And we can’t forget the app. How nice it is to have real-time data on pumping time and instantaneous volumes. I could never remember how long I’d been pumping before. Now I turn my pump on, forget about it, and it shuts off in 25 min when the session is over (with the option to press “Play” on the app or pump to go longer.) Overall the Willow is by far my favorite pump.

Freedom

I absolutely love my Willow pump! The freedom from tubes and being connected to a free standing pump. Even the semi portable pumps with tubing and lighter pumps you can mover around with DO NOT compare to the Willow! I’ve also noticed a slight increase in my production. It did take me about two days to get the hang of it. But anything new is worth the trial and error of learning. It helps me be able to pump more often and not dread pumping because it is quick, easy, and I can still get things done while doing it. Set up and cleaning is a breeze with only a few parts. I love the versatility of being able to pump into a container or milk bag. I could go on and on. If you are considering buying the Willow I say go for it! You will not be disappointed!
