Willow Changed My Life

I became an exclusively pumping mom as my baby was born premature. I was pumping 8 times a day for the first 3 months and I absolutely hated being tied down to my Medela Symphony pump. Then I heard about Willow and decided to get it - it changed my life. I no longer had to plan my life around pumping but rather could take my Willow pump wherever I wanted to go - shopping with friends, eating with family, even traveling internationally! I wanted to quit pumping many times but Willow has allowed me to pump for 7 months now and will let me reach my goal of pumping for one year.

There was definitely a learning curve but having the willow changed my life. I never pumped before because I was afraid the baby would need me and I was attached to the wall. Now I can pump while changing diapers, grocery shopping, and even nursing (using one side only). Life is changed!

A product I have learned to love

I didn't immediately love willow. It's taken some time. First, would make sure that you have a super mom bra to use with willow. I learned that what I would have previously called "full coverage" was not quite full coverage enough. Really got to strap those babies down. So, the bra that I wear when I know I will willow is different than what I prefer if not planning to use willow. At first I found it painful but over time have adjusted and now don't find it painful at all. I get exactly same output as I do with my medela. What has been really awesome for me is using it while I drive. I have a 30 min drive to and from work and this made it possible to easily pump while I commute...such a bonus use of time for a busy working mama. I can easily do chores while wearing willow but don't feel like I can comfortably hold baby while pumping. Even so, still much better than being anchored to a standard pump. When I travel, I use willow exclusively. Love that I can lay down for before bed pump but don't love that I don't want to sleep in the bra that I would use to willow.

Best invention ever!

I am a mother of 2 under 2. My first experience with breastfeeding and pumping did not go as I had hoped. I hated having to sit by the wall for 20-30 minutes pumping. I felt like I was missing out on events and spending time with family. With the Willow, I have gained a sense of freedom while still providing my little nursing with breastmilk all while enjoying time with my little family. I can’t thank Willow enough for what this product has done for me!
