Screen crack and bubbles

I recently bought this item. My wife’s screen had a bubble and mine crack in the first week of purchase. I tried to get an exchange but items are out of stock.

I wasn’t sure how easy this would be to change on my phone. The old broken screen protector peeled right off and the instructions were as crystal clear as my new screen! Why did I wait so long?
