Nice looking machine. Fast operation. Has a requested 1TB hard drive but causes undue extra set up because C: drive is SS and only 250 GB. And all data must be loaded into the D drive to leave room in C drive for programs/Apps. All the normal C drive windows configurations of documents, Pictures, music, videos must be re-configured to D drive. This is not what I requested when I asked for 1 TB hard drive. Also pretty much requires an external optical DVD drive as there is not one in the laptop. Not recommended with the hard drive configuration.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Envy laptop is blazingly fast. Unfortunately, the audio subsystem failed twice! HP has a great repair option for computers in warranty, but I had to return the laptop for repair twice. It seems to be working fine now, and is much faster than my 3 year old Envy it is replacing. I'll buy again. This is the first time a HP laptop has failed on me, and this is my sixth laptop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop to replace an old HP Pavilion. The ENVY I bought is very fast and the features are great. The only thing I wish this laptop had was a RJ45 for hard wire ethernet connection. Other than that I'm very happy with this computer.
