Overall a very good upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as part of my family room upgrade and also for as a monitor for my work computer. I do a some graphics work a high resolution large monitor would be much nicer for my work station. We don't usually use a TV for watching our shows as personal devices are the choice... but once I upgraded my old LCD TV into this, the old movie nights are coming back... Of course, the 8k TVs are relatively expensive compared to their 4k size, but this TV does give a better experience at 4k level.
Pros:-
- Absolutely stunning videos and pictures. Granded, no one in our area or online doing an 8k streaming / video service.. the HD/UHD/4k videos seems to provide a better experience.
- Upscaling seems providing much nicer experience.
- in-built apps which lets you stream from your favorite content providers. So far I have used Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV.
- multiple ways of connecting to external input / output devices, I don't think anyone will run out of connectivity ports. (except see below in cons)
Pretty good audio even without soundbar or home audio systems. But I like the audio from my sound bar, so I am using that.
- Connecting to the TV as a monitor was a breeze. But setting into to get the full screen scaling required to go into advanced settings of the TV.
- running smart home voice commands was easy, since it came with "Alexa" (and there is "ok google" for google users.
- The "LG ThinQ" mobile app gives added remote functionality.

Cons:
> IR blaster doesn't seems working for me. I am trying to configure the IR blaster with my sound bar, which the make and model are in the list, still not functioning.. so I end up using two remotes to operate this TV.
> There is a very small lag between I/O (especially the mouse) when using as a computer monitor.
> (follow up from pros above) The audio out combination does not me option to mix bluetooth and optical out. This way, I could have switched from soundbar to my bluetooth headset when everyone else is sleeping... but I have to go to advanced settings in the TV to change audio out mode everytime.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture on this TV is amazing. The sound is also good - I got rid of my sound bar because the TV sounds better than the bar. The OS is responsive and easy to use, which is a big upgrade considering how sluggish my previous TV was (it was not made by LG). As a gamer, this TV is amazing for it's 120H, low-latency mode, and overall picture quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV is incredible. I love the 8K UHD resolution, our movies and shows are so crisp and clear. We enjoy family shows and action packed shows, so being able to see details is important. The Quantum Dot NanoCell color technology also brings such life to every image on the screen. The AI Sound Pro set up helps me feel like shows and movies are enveloping me and making me part of the story. This is enhanced further by the soundbar system. Sounds zoom past and behind us, making us part of the action. The SMART tv features are great for connecting to all of my apps, especially those for shows and movies, like Netflix, Disney +, HBO Go, and many more.

Just like going from SD > 1080P and then from 1080P to 4K, this is the next level up and I CANNOT wait for content to become more mainstream in this. Meanwhile, I want to note that even 4k content on this looks MILES better than on a 4k television set. This truly is remarkable. Not only is the picture quality amazing, but coupled with LG's OS and smart remote, this thing is truly a new great experience. We were able to game on this and able to achieve 120Hz at 4k with both the PS5 and Xbox One Series X.
Overall extremely happy with this TV and cannot wait to put some more use on it. Our house has become the "movie night" house because of this! "Lifes Good!"
