Wondering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No way that direct inputs to this tv upscale to 8k. The only way that I can upscale is to connect my devices through a receiver and let the receiver do the up scaling. Don’t understand how they claim this tv upscales everything to 8k. If you upscale through a receiver, then the picture is 8k and displayed okay. If you go to YouTube and stream 8k video previews, the picture is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a high hope for the LG's new 8K TV, and Nanocell 9 series 65 inch TV do not disappoint. My previous TV was same size mid-range 4K, and is 4-5 year old model. I can clearly see the differences when upgraded to LG's latest model. Here are the breakdown:
1. 8K resolution: huge improvement over 4K TV; some folks say no advantage over 4K TV, but I noticed big differences especially when displaying my pictures taken with 42MP Sony A7RIII Camera. The TV shows incredible detail of the high resolution photos. Absolutely amazing!!
2. 4K up-scaling to 8K and HDR: It also shines when I play 4K blu-ray titles (such as Planet Earth II). AI up-scaling and HDR feature make the 4K titles even more shine on 8K TV. Also tried native 4K games with Xbox One X. I was blown away by the graphics on Red Dead Redemption 2 and Forza Horizon 4.
3. Fast overall operations: TV is very snappy on any controls. There is no lag or any hesitation when I control the TV. I clearly see the advantage of having the fast processor in TV; I guess a part of the reason is the new processor (a7 gen 3) and the OS (WebOS) running on the TV.
4. Easy-to-use TV remote: it has accelerometer built-in, and so I can use the pointer to move around. It is so much easier than clicking on arrow keys several times. This can be disabled for some people who want the traditional TV remove. Only downside (??) is that the TV remote is too easy for my 4-year old girl to play with the TV.
Overall, I highly recommend LG's latest TV to anyone who wants to experience the stunning detail images and videos on TV screen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV a few months ago and am very satisfied with its picture quality. However, when compared to an OLED TV, the quality is close but not as good as individual pixels. I would like to see LG add more options for the screen saver. I have a 4k OLED set and it has a really good screen saver that is automatic when streaming programs are paused.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, Performance, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an LG employee who received this product at a discount from LG, and this is my honest review of the product. TV right out the box (heavy) but manageable, felt very premium. When in wallpaper setting, you do get to experience the true 8K scene but as for every streaming platform, I have still yet to experience the true 8K. Even in comparison with the OLED TVs, I was expecting a more greater change from the OLED. Even comparing my older LG TV unit from 5+years ago, image/visual is comparably similar. So to justify the price point of retail being expensive, I would have just kept using the older LG TV. For the sound experience using the Dolby Atmos, I do use the LG sound bar SP7Y, and you do get to experience the cinematic setting of a movie theater at your own home. For settings, software and user experience, due to the TV having many different features, LG should make a demo of how to use the TV in full experience. Ultimately, hopefully in the near future, more platforms would support 8K, so I can experience the whole 8K QNED MiniLED.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great TV but internet speed is limited. While other devices' speed is 170-220 kbs, TV doesn't give you more than 50-60 kbs. Strange. I've used LG recommended DNS connection. I wish I knew about it. Overall TV is good. Can't ad block it though. No freedom there. So, welcome commercials.

Garbage Interface - Screen mirroring Does not work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried using screen mirroring from multiple phones on 2 LG TVs I have owned. It is a laggy mess that frequently disconnects. This is such simple technology that LG has failed to make work properly. Extremely disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am going to start by saying this LG TV has an amazing picture and even more amazing sound . From the very beginning in taking this brand new LG TV from it's well protected box was very easy, This LG is very sturdy and not flimsy at all.
At first site with all factory defaults this TV is stunning. After a few minutes I was able to get around all the settings very well with the simple yet remote that it comes with. Giving the setting a few adjustments for my living room environment and the picture was even better than I could have ever imagined. The colors are so vibrant and rich. After viewing several 8k nature videos and I was completely hooked. I also viewed Aqua man in 4k and felt like I was in the water with them at times, then watching John Wick 3 which the blacks in that movie are hard to see correctly and this LG TV out performed most any TV. The audio for John Wick was incredible. As an audiophile I was astonished on how amazing the sound that was coming out of this TV. Usually I have to get the TV plugged into my stereo immediately and that just wasn't the case this time. The clarity of the speech and the different AI profiles were amazing. The bass setting made it feel like a real big audio system and it was all coming from this beautiful appliance.
Now to talk about the smart features of this LG TV, connecting to the internet was simple and quick. There is an app for everything you would want or need and many more you can download and install. A new feature I had never experienced was the LG channels. Wow for anyone who has never tried it, I recommend giving a try. There is so many channels that you recognize and so many more that are fresh and new. The talking functionality of remote is the coolest feature so far. When you include that with a smart home ( Alexa, google) it goes over the top.
In conclusion this LG Nano TV has an amazing picture that is superior to any LED TV . The audio it produces is as professional sounding as any multi speaker sound system and the smart features offer the most cutting edge technology for every member of your household.
