Have had this dehumidifier for one yr. Hardly used it, and it runs and runs but doesn’t collect any water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the 22 Pint Dehumidifier (Energy Star® Certified).
I’m sorry to hear that the unit is no longer collecting water despite running continuously. That’s understandably frustrating, especially since the unit has seen limited use over the past year.
When a dehumidifier runs but does not collect moisture, it is usually related to one of a few common conditions: 1. Room humidity level If the ambient humidity is already low (typically below 40–45%), the unit may run but collect very little or no water. You can verify this by checking the humidity setting on the display or using a separate hygrometer.
2. Settings and mode Ensure the unit is not set to a very low humidity target (e.g., 30–35%), which may prevent active moisture removal. Check that “Continuous” mode is not unintentionally disabled or restricted by timer settings.
3. Airflow restriction Clean or replace the air filter if applicable Ensure the front and rear air vents are not blocked by walls, furniture, or dust buildup
4. Operating environment Dehumidifiers perform best in enclosed spaces (not open windows/doors or large open areas) Extremely cool room temperatures can also reduce moisture extraction efficiency
5. Internal frost or sensor issue If the unit runs but never cycles properly, there may be an issue with: Humidity sensor calibration Internal refrigeration system Frost protection system
If none of the above resolves the problem and the unit continues to run without collecting water, please don't hesitate to call us at 1-800-265-8352, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. ET, and we’ll be happy to assist. - Jessica
