I have had this DeHumidifier for about a month. I am amazed in the difference it has made to the basement rec room. I wish I had done this earlier.

Replacement for non-functioning dehumidifier

This appliance is new so I cannot comment on durability. Most of these dehumidifiers do not last long. In my experience with other brands of dehumidifiers the fan will continue but the compressor stops. It seems that the appliance still works but there is no water production. This new machine, when set at a relative humidity of 50%, seems to run continuously. It still sucks moisture out of the air after 1 month of use. It is relatively quiet at its lowest fan setting. It is attractive and compact. Hopefully it will last a few years. Why is it that refrigerators last 10-20 years but dehumidifiers pack it in after a couple of years, yet the technology is identical? I chose this model for its “Energy Star” efficiency rating. It ranks with the highest efficiency models.

De-humidifier - Great product

This product is awesome. Bought it a month ago as humidity was too high in my basement.
It's recent, so longevity not tested yet, but it's a Frigidaire brand and I have confidence in it.

This unit has made my basement much more livable

This 35-pint Frigidaire dehumidifier has been a huge help with moisture control in my basement. Since I've started using it, the basement is noticeably more comfortable due to the reduction in humidity levels. It eliminates that cool, damp feeling that basements often have. Even though I can't make use of the hose connection for continuous draining, I only need to empty the tank once per day, which is easy enough. The automatic shutoff when the tank is full gives me peace of mind. Overall, this dehumidifier has delivered great performance and reliability. My basement is cooler and drier, which is also helping reduce my heating costs. I highly recommend the Frigidaire Moderate Humidity 35 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier!

Works exceptionally well

This is my second one. It doesn't reverberate loudly like some other brands. It really does get buckets of moisture out of the air. It keeps my place from growing mold and it makes it feel many degrees warmer in my suite. I won't be without one of these while living on the West coast.
