Frigidaire Moderate Humidity 35 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier

We bought this unit to replace an older competitive brand that we use in our basement throughout the summer. After researching the six top-rated brands, we chose Frigidaire for the following points of difference. It was the quietest-rated, whilst also having a manual control, along with the lowest price - all in a long-trusted brand name for refrigeration products (i.e. products using condensers, which includes dehumidifiers). Unlike most brands, which are automatic, the manual control allows you to run it at any level of air flow (high, medium, low), without having it automatically kick into high when humidity changes with a hot day. We found our new Frigidaire to be just as effective running continually at low, throughout the last month of high humidity, as our old unit that was continually kicking up to high, with a corresponding increase in the noise level. Consequently we are now hardly aware of the constant even low noise level - a very big benefit in a finished basement in the summer time! To clarify, the unit does still start up and shut down automatically as needed to maintain a set humidity level.

We purchased this dehumidifier to replace an old unit in our finished basement. We were tired of the high noise level of the old unit. Since we had had a good experience with having owned two Frigidaire freezers, we felt very confident in purchasing a Frigidaire dehumidifier, which after a month of use, has impressed us beyond expectation. It has performed flawlessly and much more quietly than any previous dehumidifier we've owned. Additionally, it is much easier to empty the bucket of water, since it has a handle on top for transporting without having to struggle with lifting above arm length whilst transporting and the unit shuts off without leaking whilst the bucket is removed.

I bought this machine when we were experiencing a month of rain and very humid weather ! It was able to dry out our downstairs and keep the humidity at 60 % .

Damp basement be gone!

I bought this dehumidifier a month ago to replace an equivalent Frigidaire one that died after 5 years of hard work, and it makes such a difference to the humidity in my basement. I find it very easy to operate. My only problem is that I think I must have made a mistake in ordering the size I did. I thought that my old dehumidifier was 35 pints but it must have been smaller. This is my own fault for messing up. The good part of the mistake is that my current dehumidifier's bucket holds a LOT of water which indicates how well this product works. The bad part of the mistake is that I find it very heavy to lift. Since I pour the water from the bucket into a watering can to water my plants (in this climate crisis, I recommend this) inside and out, I find it a challenge. However, I love the dehumidifier.

I wish I had bought this last year. What a difference! My air conditioner couldn’t manage the humidity in my room, but adding this dehumidifier from over 70% to 40%. Sleeping is more comfortable and it feels a lot cooler. It’s amazing how much water was in the air. This humidifier is the best thing ever. I am so happy and satisfied with it.

Humidity level in our basement really gets high during summer. I am glad I decided to invest in a humidifier, and equally happy that I chose frigidaire. It is working great. Just set it to the level you want and put it on a timer. And it is easy to clean, too.
