Seems like it might be a decent grill. Was not assembled properly. The electronics do not wok and have been waiting on replacement parts for over a month.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great starter grill as well as an intermediate grill. Actually, this is my first real gas grill. I searched far and wide, read reviews, reached out to expert grillers and friends. I had a few specifics: I wanted a grill that could use the rotisserie attachment, had a LP gas tank monitor, and a large grilling surface. A bonus was the Weber Connect digital thermometer and probe that came with the kit. It has come in extremely handy on both think NY Strips, numerous hamburgers and hotdogs, and even a tough cut of meat such as an eye of round. It is as if some expert is there to guide you along. I cannot say enough things about this grill.

the grill is great so far. but when I received the grill one of the frame parts wasn't correct and had missing parts. I submitted a request and got the replacement part 3 weeks later.

Compared to my old Genesis (18+ years old), this new Genesis has made some great improvements. Locating the propane tank outside on the right makes it much more accessible then my old Genesis which had the tank inside the cabinet. On the new Genesis, the burners run front to back rather then side to side making it easier to control the heat in different sections of the grill. Finally, the built in electronics are great because now instead of just a temperature gauge, this grill provides a digital temperature readout plus two meat temperature probes all connected to my phone via the Weber app. If this grill is as dependable and lasts as long as my previous Weber, I will be very satisfied.

I have owned a Weber grill before (30 years ago) It had lasted over 20 years. I went out and purchased another grill (different maker) and it only lasted 8 years (rotted out). I decided to go back to Weber and I am very happy with this purchase. You can tell the quality is so much higher than most other grills in this price range. I highly recommend getting a Weber grill.
