So Far, So Great

Two days ago, I received the above-referenced humidifier. So far, so great. Thus far, it has performed better than I anticipated.
I begin by stating this unit is absolutely silent. You cannot hear it at all. The unit emits a generous amount of cool mist humidity into our living space. (This is the only mode I’ve utilized so far.) I pray this does the trick. Our arid southwestern Montana climate proves tough for my entire family's sinuses. My husband and son have had countless nosebleeds this fall and it’s only November. The dry heat that we use to heat our home will only exacerbate dry sinus conditions. Fingers crossed this Pure Enrichment humidifier will stand the test of time and afford my family's sinuses some much-needed relief.

Great customer service, but product has some flaws

I would have liked to give 5 stars, but despite fantastic customer service, the humidifier has some design flaws. Most importantly, our heating element stopped working after two days, but the humidifier did not display any error messages. The heating icon still appeared on the display even though it was malfunctioning. After investigating the problem, I found that the single-shot thermal fuse had blown. I suspect that this could happen to anyone's unit, but because of the lack of an error code, most users would not notice. Additionally, the fan that expels the mist is too weak, and water accumulates on the floor even when set to level 3. To fix this, I placed a second fan behind the unit, and it works great. Upon checking with a thermal camera, it appears that the heating element is designed to work at around 120 degrees F, which is probably not sufficient to kill germs. In fact, it is probably an ideal temperature for breeding germs. I believe that the warm mist option is only there for marketing purposes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased the Hume XL PRO two years ago. Quiet and no filters required. After two years unit stopped working however company has been responsive.

We have two HUME XL Pro humidifiers and we love them. One of the units had a sensor malfunction and would not run. A quick call and email follow up, no problem. Their procedure to assist if you have a problem is simple, fast and painless. Their people are nice, polite and really want to help you. Really is like the title, Problem? No problem

Silent as the night, chic looking and works great

We're using it for our office space which is typically around 20% humidity. On the first day it already raised our humidity up to 40%. The warm and cold mist options are awesome. It's very silent, I mean very very quiet there is zero noise from it. The humidifier is also very chic looking with its matte black front cover and has a conveniently large whole for water refill which allows easier cleaning. The plants are enjoying the humidity
