I down sized from my Garmin Echo Map 93 SVUHD when the transducer stopped working because I don't need all the options like livescope. All I wanted was built in maps and sonar. The Striker Vivid 9 sv doesn't have the built in maps ( according to the Garmin rep I talked to on the phone. The box says it does. So, im very unhappy with this unit.

I bought it about 3 months ago easy to install on the boat love the screen makes it easy to see

I love it. I thought it had a chart plotter though. I guess I've read wrong. However, it does have way more features than the Helix 5 has. No complaints.

Good unit, only downfall is no maps. You have to drive around and build your own maps. Probably a u it good for a kayak.

The down image and side image is great but figuring out how to get the contour lines of a lake is hard to understand.

I love my 9sv as a fish finder but I sure wish I could load nav charts on it I know about active captain and it is good but sure wish it had charts
