Buyer’s remorse, not impressed.

I don’t understand why this desk gets such great reviews. I was disappointed in the quality as soon as I unpacked it. It’s supposed to be solid wood, but the “wood” feels extremely dry and brittle. The drawers do not slide easily and take a lot of force to open and close, and grind on their slides. The pull out keyboard try feels very flimsy and weak. I don’t expect it to hold up well. I get disappointed every time I walk into the room and remember I bought it.

Highly variable quality; mine was horrible

While there are some great reviews for this desk, I have experienced the complete opposite:
1. There's a huge crack going down about 80% of a drawer support.
2. Various dents in the desk top and metal trim.
3. One leg did not come with the peg levelers
4. The screw holes for some of the metal trim pieces don't line up; would have to bend a few pieces to line up the holes.
5. The wood finish is shinier than depicted on the website. I don't care for it but it's a matter of preference.
6. Rough texture of the wood makes writing not so ideal unless you have some padding or a notebook.
