The SolarHome 620 is great product. My only recommendation to improve this product would be that they make the color temperature of the lights warmer. Closer to the color of tungsten lights.

Really came in handy for Northern CA power shutdowns during fire season. Easy to set up as temporary solution and easy to move panel and control box around, if needed, to capture full sunlight through the day. I bought this for my elderly parents and it was perfect for them as allowed them to charge cell phones, listen to radio broadcasts and the ease of having wall switches for the overhead lights was perfect.

Perfect for offgrid use when camping with my mini Skoolie bus! Lightweight , plenty of lengthy extension cords, and the motion sensor light is great for my entrance door!!

Just what we needed

TLDR: Loving this product!
I bought this setup about 7-9 months ago to set up in the shed on the back end of our new property to avoid having to run an electrical line out there and it works great! It was really easy to install, looks awesome (i.e., great wire control so it doesn't look messy), and provides good light. I have two lights inside the shed and the motion sensing light outside so you can see to unlock it. They're not overwhelmingly bright, but they're just what I need to see in the pitch black country dark.
The shed is somewhat surrounded by very mature, tall trees, so the solar panel can only collect so much sun during the day, but it still stays charged up pretty well considering that, and the power from the charge does last for awhile.
We also got this to use as backup for storm power outages since we're pretty sensitive to that out here. We haven't had to use it for that yet (thankfully), but I feel confident that we could rely on it to charge our phones and keep us connected to radio information if we needed it. It's a great little product at an affordable cost. Y'all saved me a lot of money and stress and offered great peace of mind. I've got my eye on your camping products for the upcoming season. :) Keep making cool things!

Am using this kit in my house. Have it sit up when i walk in door light comes on. The other lights are in kitchen. I dont turn on lights in my house and if power goes out i have a radio. Solar panel is outside of kitchen window. Works awesome

I purchased my system from a retailer. Brand new, it did not work. I charged it for more than 48 hours and still wouldn't turn on. I contacted Biolite directly and let them know what was going on and they've sent me a replacement! It was on backorder for about 2 months but I'm glad to finally receive it and try it out! So far so good!

This was our first foray into solar lighting beyond the garden sticks. We needed to get lighting into a garage and chicken coop close to each other but a diatance from other electric service. Installed easily though tek screws and loops would have been nice for metal in addition to the wire staples provided. Allowed to charge it has all worked fine. We have not tested the usb port but everything else has continued to work. A mountable adjustable bracket for the solar panel would be a pleasant addition.
