Light for my shed

wanted a light inside my shed for a long time, but did not want to pay the cost of having a electrician come and run electric cable. this solar light is everything that I could ask for.easy to install and works great. now I can go to the shed after dark without a flash light because I also have a sun light. thanks for your invention.

Perfect Solution for Off Grid Cabin

We are building an off grid cabin. The SolarHome 620 has allowed us to illuminate our place and charge our phones making staying there so much more comfortable! We love it! We also love the mission and message behind the company and product!

Great for anything

I originally bought this to install in an old diesel box truck that we converted into a camper, that didn't have a radio and the interior lighting was lacking. I like the ability to move the control box and re-arrange the lights however you want, including the motion sensor light that is great for camping. The radio is loud and clear, the panel is well-made and the lights are bright and very efficient. We've used this for power outages, night frisbee sessions with the dog at home, and camping with friends in the mountains.

Still working with it

At first the units did not hold nor give the charge stated. I just kept charging, using, charging, and using. NOW the two units seem to be acting as they should. I have had issues with new batteries not working out until repeated use before. One lamp does not work. I assume it is the switch. The switches do not appear to be a lasting thing anyway. I will try a work around or replace it.
No radio stations, so that is what you get in Montana no surprise there.
I have been living off-grid in a tipi for a bit more than five-years. Simple light set up really help extend working bison hides late at night. We have lots of dark this time of year. I am really glade to have gotten two sets. I cluster all the lights in one area to get it as bright as I like.
Overall the unit is just fine for the price. I do worry the lamps will not survive more than a few years use.

Today I got the lights strung up where I would want them should the lights go out and we are testing out living by them tonight. The base is in the kitchen with it's light, then theres 2 in the living room / dining area and the last one with the motion sensor is in the bathroom. With the 2 lights in the living / dining area one on low the other on medium it says 11 hrs till empty. Plenty light to see, but not quite enough light to read by though. I turned the other one on medium also and as long as your within a couple of feet from the light you can read. It still says 11 hrs till empty. Just went and used the restroom and the light came on instantly. It's supposed to go out after 30 sec which it did, but I just waved my arm and it came right back on. Stayed on while I finished and washed my hands. DD wanted me to heat her up some leftovers so I turned the base light on high and it dropped to 7 hrs till empty. I'm glad I'm doing this test, because I now know I want to move the light in the dining area closer to the pass through to the kitchen to give it a bit more light in there without really losing any in the dining area. Also there is more then enough wire between each light. Almost to much for our small 750sq ft home. If you were using these as your only source of light I can see how all the extra wire would be good so you can run it neatly and some what hidden. So far I am very happy with this purchase.
