Inadequate solar input

I used this to help with my off grid set up. Can barely recharge a rechargeable bug zapper OR one light run intermittently. A larger solar panel might take this from 1 star to 3, 4 or 5, but as is, completely inadequate, barely usable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm using the system in my 26' camper. I have two lights and switches inside which provide a surprisingly amount of bright white light. The sensor lamp is outside my door which also lights up my walkway. Even living in Alaska and going into our dark season, so far I haven't run out of battery yet. It was an easy install once I figured out where I was going to put them. So happy and impressed!

We bought a Biolite system when we were preparing to move to Malawi. After an initial test we bought 3 more. Now living permanently in Malawi, we have installed the lights and they work incredibly well. We only have power here 4 to 8 hours a day, but lots of sun which means the lights are perfect for our situation. So easy to install, well thought out. Will definitely be buying more.

Man cave

I am building a 12X28 man cave, club house, get-a-way what ever you want to call it and I want it to be totally off grid. I do have it wired for a generator but hope to not need it. This set of lights is just the beginning and is meant to give me an idea of how much lighting I will need. I bought the set just as a test and it has preformed very well. We have not had much sun in Ohio since the purchase but for the little I have used it, it has been very good. I also camp with my grandson and as portable as it is I am sure it will be used camping also. I am pleased and would recommend it to others.

I am pleased with how compact and efficient the unit is. We have several small cabins with no electricity and have used individual solar lamps previously. The unit gives far better coverage for reading at night and to the whole cabin.

Neat lighting solution

I plan to use this when car camping and as emergency lighting. I received the shipment today, set it up in the backyard immediately, and patiently waiting for the sun to set. The system works as advertised and I look forward to using this kit on my next camping trip.
