So far I really like my SolarHome. I live in an apartment and have mounted the solar panel on the outside of a window. It is working very well and the battery maintains a minimum charge of 68%. I’m not sure how it will do in cold weather (I live in Maine) but am hoping it stays functional. I use the lights in my living room at night and am watching my electric bill to monitor any savings.

This unit was easy to install and has been running beautifully. Having individual switches for each light and multiple brightness levels has let me stay within my system charge easily. The control panel shows how much sun the photovoltaic panel is getting, so i can adjust it for maximum charging if I need to. I'm learning that fast charging my phone can put a significant drain on the stored charge, but thats easy enough to work around. This is a great package. Highly recommend.

Awesome for off grid

I used this while I was camping and building my house and now it’s 75% of my lighting inside. It works great and has a decent battery. With the way it’s set up I can have lights with there own switches in the bathroom, the kitchen, the motion sensor at the door, and the base in the living area. On a good sunny day it can charge it’s self plus two devices. The radio does fall short a bit as well as the sd only MP3 player but that’s not a deal breaker for me.
