Bought this headlamp for a recent 3 day backpacking trip. The battery lasted for the entire trip, although I did use it somewhat sparingly. I really liked the red light for in the tent before going to sleep. I now use it every night for walking the dog. It did take me a bit to get familiar with the different lighting modes.
