Hands down, the BEST

I have used many different brands of headlamps over my 40 plus years of camping. Most of them were bulky, could not be re-charged with a camp stove that generates electricity, and most of all you always knew they were on your head. I have had mine for a week now. Use it while walking the dog in the morning, around the house at night, just for the fun of it, and I really do forget it is on my head. Extremely bright, versatile and easy to adjust. A very well thought out and designed product. Highly recommend. Can't wait to use it camping soon.

Useful When Needed

I've purchased several items from Biolite. I love what they do and why they do it. (Watch ther videos!) For the most part, these supplies sit in my closet waiting for summer, or camping, or travel. Yesterday, our power went out and I used my headlamps for the first time. What a difference they made! I think most people hate being in the dark. Looking out our window, I could see little points of light flying around on the neighbor's curtains. Our curtains, in contrast, were aglow with a bright, white, light! Once I got used to the buttons, I turned the light to a more soothing setting. It was a pleasure using these headbands. I noticed my head started getting warm where the head lamp was located and found that it DID cool down after turning the strength of the light down. I think it's top setting must be intended for dark woods at night! I'm very happy with this and all the #Biolite products and shared about them on social media. Thanks Biolite!

excellent light

really bright light. Very lightweight. Not like wearing 3 AAA's on your head. I bought it for work and use it almost daily. Battery light times listed are close to reality. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is they were a little TOO protective of the switch and with fat fingers like mine it can be hard to manipulate

Let there be light and plenty of it!

I would like to start off by saying I have had many headlights throughout my life camping, hunting, fishing ,working etc. I have also had many problems with other headlights from the weight in the front of the light to the battery always going dead to the head band stretching out and really not wanting to stay on my giant head. I am happy to say this "was" my first biotite product but not anymore not just there lights are amazing but for an outdoor enthusiast
these products do not get any better. So do not hesitate to purchase based on quality, brightness, function. these products are awesome.

I love this headlamp! The material is perfect! The headlamp is lightweight with many light settings! Plus I love that it's rechargeable! Can't recommend enough

My New Go To

I got this about a month ago and immediately fell in love with it. I've used my Black Diamond Spot Headlamp for years and just recently upgraded to their newest version and have no complaints. That being said, it has sat in a drawer since I got this new Biolite Headlamp. Its brighter than I could possibly need (Its always good to have too much light than not enough) and extremely comfortable. I was skeptical about having the battery pack in the back, but I don't notice it at all. The battery life really good and I love having the option for a red light so I don't blind any of my friends.

BEST MECHANIC'S WORK LIGHT EVER

Definitely NOT just for the outdoor Adventurers!
The superb flexibility of fit, the comfort even during a long work day, along with the sleek and slim band make this Headlamp a real asset in the tool box. The brightness allows really great vision of the entire work area without eye strain. Being able to lay under a machine and work several hours with such improved lighting and comfort is the best!

Seriously like no other headlamp

I am blown away by how different this feels. I live part time in Wisconsin and run in the countryside where there are few houses and even fewer street lamps. It's the kind of dark where you'll run right off the blacktop into a culvert if there isn't a full moon. We've got a big collection of headlamps around the house for running, and for everyday things like walking the dogs. I wasn't aware how unstable they all felt, or how much of a pressure point I got if I tightened another headlamp until it felt stable. This thing doesn't feel any different than wearing a cloth sweatband. Couple that with the ability to choose a wider beam so I can see my footing and any wildlife in the trees, and I'm convinced it's worth every penny. Bonus - no more dealing with batteries.
