Great tool but it could be better. If it was a few inches shorter it could be stored inside the pit when not in use. Now it is another loose tool that can get lost.

Great idea, BUT it should fit inside of the fire pit when transporting. It could actually be a bit shorter to fit inside and still provide enough length to keep the hands from getting burned during use, and it would make the entire unit more compact. I hate loose parts rolling around in the motorhome side compartments, but if I was an overlander or Class B or tent camper. I'd hate it even more. I may cut the shaft and re-weld shorter so it fits inside.

Love this all-in-one design and it's an excellent compliment to my FirePit set. Just as advertised, it works great for moving racks, logs, and scraping out ash and charcoal ~ I've even used it to toggle the vent on the lid and provide a little extra distance on the hot side in the few instances where I wanted to adjust the Pit location while the flames were high ~ I tend a lot of fires in a bunch of different setups with everything from a twig to a long sturdy branch to a full professional toolkit ~ for all the nuances of tending fire in the FirePit, this does everything needed expect cut your logs and stoke it for you ;-)

Was out camping with friends and I saw his poker and knew I had to have one like it. From the soft rubbery base all the way to the multifunctional tip this thing is well thought out and super useful.
