Works great, only things missing are a temperature gauge and some form of hooks or snaps to hold the top tightly to the Fire Pit when storing . I'll need to drill and install a temperature gauge in the top and figure something out for keeping the lid attached to the lower unit, because I need to store the whole unit on its side in the side compartment of the motorhome.
Since the carry case is not available, it tends to come apart.

The lid is a perfect addition to the fire pit! Now I can cook with charcoal or wood and now more efficiently with the lid. Also as a bonus, after we are done, we can have a camp fire and enjoy the rest of the night. One item, so many options. Also, the lid can be stored on the fire pit with the storage cover. No need to store it separately.

Used it the day after receiving from FedEx. It was great, the lid helped to retain heat and cook the chicken breasts from all around instead of just from the bottom up.
A word of caution! Read the instructions. do not use a high fan setting. You'll use up your fuel too fast or worse, burn what your trying to cook. Like I almost did.

I was a little skeptical of how well it would hold heat given the bottom of the FirePit is a mesh. Well it holds heat great up at the top while still allowing combustion below. Fits great in the FirePit cary bag.
