The hood looks nice and works well. The eight foot ceiling chimney cover is useless, because it is about 8 inches tall. Worst feature: some idiot designer put the electrical box up inside the left corner of the hood, instead of on top. The electrician has to work upside down in a tiny space. Also, this thing is a beast to hang up and we were never able to get it cinched up flat against the wall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
