Easy to install and works great

So far so good! It’s not loud, even on Boost mode. It was easy to install. We had to purchase a recirculating duct. That was a bit of a challenge as the screw holes didn’t match up. New screw holes had to be made. It worked out!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Description is wrong

Be aware the description on the website is wrong, they changed the build of the hood recently and did not update the website. GOOD JOB GE . This hood can not be vented out the rear like the website says. I will say it is really nice looking sitting in a box in my living room, wish we could have used it.

Looks great - mediocre performance.

We went with this hood instead of a custom fabricated wood hood with insert because it looked perfect for our kitchen remodel. Functionally, however, it leaves a lot to be desired.
We have it installed above the coordinating CAFE 36" gas rangetop. The distance between the rangetop body and bottom of the hood is 36" which is the max recommended but within spec. The actual cooking surface is higher. The installation is wall mounted, exhausting directly outside using the optional damper piece. There are no restrictions that would otherwise block flow.
The issue is that on the front 3 burners, which are the most powerful and the ones used for frying/boiling, half of the smoke or steam doesn't get captured by the vent fan, even on the maximum CFM mode. pushing the pan to the back burners fixes this, but ruins cooking functionality.
It's almost like the hood should stick out another 6" past the wall, or the installation limitation should be 6" lower. Either way, it's disappointing that this doesn't work as intended. We will be searching for a better solution as to not have smoke and steam ruining our new kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Large Hood Matching Range

Pretty - purchased to match the stove and it does. Wish the lighting was a bit stronger and the buttons a bit larger to accommodate larger print. Brightens up the room because it's white. Does give some light to the cook top but it could be better.
